The Techatticup Mine camp was established 1861. The camp is part of the oldest, richest and most famous gold mine in Southern Nevada. Now a tourist attraction, it includes an old Willys truck and, in some photos, a wagon.
The Techatticup Mine camp is located just outside the small town of Nelson Nevada in Eldorado Canyon. It is well reviewed on Trip Advisor. Businesses in the area offer historical mine tours and scenic blue water kayak trips on the Colorado River at the mouth of Black Canyon below Hoover Dam.

“I am selling my beloved 1942 Willys in the military army jeep it has the famous warn to speed overdrive that is always so hard to find for collectors and it works perfectly. Is overdrive allowed me to come to be driving 55 mph, a brand-new CJ 5 3 speed transmission put in about 1000 miles ago A upgraded transfer case with inch and a quarter output it ran perfectly when I put it away 15 years ago and has not run since it has no driver seats and is in good shape for its ageit needs to be restored but it does run shift perfectly four-wheel-drive works perfectly breaks used to work but they have not been operated for 15 years this is one of those elusive barn finds that everybody always talks about this jeep has a CJ 2 grill and CJ 2 windshield is not original 6 V but it runs better on 12 volts and that’s how I drove it for the for the past years it is currently non-op with the DMV”
