Looks like it might have a fire jeep front bumper (looks like it curves and is extra long).
“1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep 4X4, runs and starts great, new brakes, new seat covers (not shown in photos) tires fair to good, they will last another 10,000 miles easily. Has a Buick V6 engine so it has lots of balls, some light surface rust, NO CANCER!!! It needs some prettying up but goes, stops, does great off road. CASH ONLY and NO, I will not accept a B.S. cashiers check from China or Indonesia or wherever and then have your driver pick it up! Sorry, I was not born yesterday”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(08/22/2015) It’s an MB with a 2A body.
“This Willys is a true survivor. The id number is a MB number, but is considered a 1947 by the DMV. The tub is a MB. The jeep was modified for a film to look like a M38. The driver side has been smoothed over with bondo at some point, but the ribs for the tools can be seen on the inside.
The window is post war as well as the M38 grille. The jeep will need to be seen.
It needs tlc for sure but is a driver.
I have the window rubber, just no glass.
The engine is what I can best figure is a 1953 F-Head Hurricane engine. It has the generator, but is wound to a 12v system.
It has Model A tail lights.
The tires are new as of July 22nd. I also had Willys hand painted on the rear tailgate, as well as a personal tribute to a fallen family member, as well as a WWII Kilroy was here.
I am fixing it up as I keep driving it. If it doesn’t sell for my price, I will be fixing it up and keeping it. ”
It runs, but it may need a little work. Seller hasn’t driven it very far.

“This 1948 Willys was a fun summer project that I no longer have time for. It has the more powerful Willys Hurricane engine or F134.
When I purchased the Willys it was not running or driving, so I went through it. Fluids changed: brake lines flushed, gas tank was dumped and fresh gas put in, coolant, engine oil (2 engine oil changes actually), transfer oil, transmission oil, front differential, rear was only topped off.
Electrical was cleaned up, replaced a lot of wires including battery/starter wires (the old ones tried to catch fire!) head light switch installed. I did not get around to the turn signal switch. The speedometer and cable and cable housing were replaced as the ones on the cj were broken, but I kept the original speedometer since it had the mileage on it and I figured some one more competent than me might like to try and fix it.

“I’m selling my1953 jeep cj2a that I bought as a crawler project and lost interest. Comes with pink and non op. No motor or tans/t case. I was going to run Chevy drivetrain. Which I may sell separate. You can have wheels but does not come with tires. ”
John’s been going through old photos and digitizing them. Each of these includes a jeep somewhere in it. Neat photos. Thanks for sharing!
