About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
I got this July 1959 issue of Jeep News for free, but it is an incomplete and damaged issue. On page one, the “Millions Will See ‘Jeep’ Vehicle Displays …” article continues on page four, but page four seems to be missing. So, this issue may be six or eight pages in length.
The last page of this edition might be the most interesting. On the lower left is an article showing an FC-170 modified to handle parking an maneuvering big trailers. One the lower right of the page is an article about Tootsie, a South Dakota coyote that became the official state animal, who got to ride in a jeep station wagon on some of her trips.
The best part of this four-page March 1960 Jeep Service and Parts News is how to fix an annoying “rumble” in a CJ-5. According to page three, get yourself a pry bar and increase the clearance between the floor pan and the Flywheel housing bolts.
“For Sale I will delete it as soon as it has been sold It is a 1954 Willys 4×4 Wagon that is in good shape for 70 years old but it’s not new nor has it been restored to like new condition it has a super hurricane 6cyl engine 3 speed low and high range and is original unmodified except for new tilt steering column runs and drives like it should not rusted out or full of body filler does have some primer spots Gray is the original color with a white top”
“I have a 1976 Mitsubishi J44 Jeep for sale. $12,500 This Jeep was manufactured by Mitsubishi in Japan in 1976. I imported this vehicle in 2009. Since then, it has lived inside my garage here in Ponte Vedra Beach Florida. I have a clear Florida title for the Jeep. This is the LWB soft top “Troopy” model Type J44 and it does have the right-hand drive (steering wheel is on the passenger side).
The engine is a great running 2659cc 4-cylinder Type 4DR5 diesel engine. The Jeep has a 4 Speed on the floor shifter transmission. I have all the necessary parts to convert it back to the original column shifter. These parts will be included with the sale of the Jeep. This Jeep has aftermarket power steering and A/C installed. The A/C will need some attention before it will work. The Jeep has 24volt electronics.
The Jeep has 31 x 10.5 x 15 Yokohama tires on non-OEM rims. No lift needed. I do have the original split rim wheels that will be included with the sale of the Jeep. Included in the price is: (1) 2x disc brake conversion for front wheel brakes, with knuckles and Aisin free wheeling hubs. Ready to be installed. (2) PTO winch. Koening type. Mounted on original mudguard. Wire cable on spool. All parts that are needed for the installation, drive shaft, to attach to transfer case are there. Check eBay to appreciate the value of this. I would prefer to sell these items with the Jeep but may consider selling them separately. This Jeep has been garage kept since 2009. This is a 47-year-old Jeep so do not expect a “new” Jeep. It still turns heads and is a great conversation starter.”

“All original runs drives and stops. Previous owner rebuilt the motor and put a reproduction body tub on it. The Jeep also has a brand new Besttop Top that goes with it. I currently have it off, but can put it back on in a few minutes . It comes with five original 15 inch wheels and a set of 32 x950 super swamper tires. The wheels in the pictures do not go with the Jeep they belong to another Jeep that I own. Carburetor could use a cleaning. It has tons of new parts including gas tank, fuel lines that I have not installed yet and new gauges.. no trades no lowball offers it’s not 50% off day or a fire sale. The body tub alone cost nearly $6000”
“Great running and driving Jeep. Engine has been gone through and it starts, drives, stops, like new. F134 Hurricane with the 3 speed transmission, 2-speed transfer case with Warn locking hubs. The frame is in really great condition – straight and solid. Previous owner had put some undercoating on it too so it’s pretty well protected. The body is straight and fairly good for the age but it needs attention. Driver floorboard under the gas tank is the worst spot – it’s on my list to repair. The rest of the body is good other than a little rust hole here and there – all cosmetic. It comes with a sport bar, new bikini top, and a set of boat speakers that work with the little Bluetooth radio the previous owner installed. A solar trickle charger, 4 brand new tires and an older spare.”
