About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1950 willys wagon does not run

rebuilt generator, starter, carb, reconditioned fuel tank, have lots of parts, side glass, head liner bows

6 volt
engine spins freely”
(09/18/2015) This has potential. It doesn’t run. No title.
“This Wagon body and frame are in very good rust free condition. Body is extremely solid! I know the complete history of vehicle. I have the actual original title issued. All reassignment have been filled in over the years and last person never titled it. DMV would require filing for a lost title. If you know Willys wagons then you’ll notice that the rear body is from a 1952. The person in the 70’s doing the restore took a body from a 52 and put it on the 1949 frame. I have title for the 52 also which is good and can be transferred to new owner no problem. I have the body tags for both titles also. So if you want you can title it as a 1953. Put on a 52 nose maybe. Or file for lost 1949 title. It appears all parts are there. Extra glass. Tailgate is in great condition. If you know willys the gates are always rotted away along bottom. No rust repairs needed. The paint appears to be lacquer and is checking and peeling from age. 4 cylinder military motor. This is 2 wheel drive.”
(10/28/2015) Has a Pinto engine. It’s listed as a 1947.
“1947 Willy”s Jeep universal ready to restore. It is all original except the four cylinder engine. It has a rebuilt pinto four cylinder engine. For the person that is looking for a rock climber, this one can be set up just for that purpose. It has the original transmission, transfer case, front and rear axles. It has fog lights, and a tow bar, with lock out hubs. It was driven to my location , my son had plans on restoring it. It has been stored for the last seven years. The body is straight with no rust. As the pictures show the upholstery needs replacing, there is one hood latch missing . It has a clean title Please no texting,”
“Hi, this is a 1949 Jeepster needing full restoration. The Jeep is complete minus a new cloth top (all bows and rear window are present) the antenna and the stainless strip on the hood-all other trim is present, she will need new tires as they are very old. You can jump on the front fender bottoms and the rear steps as they are very solid, there is rust through in the front floors and the outer rockers-both have amateur patches. She comes with a bill of sale and many old Connecticut registrations. Asking $4,900 or willing to trade for a 1930’s car or truck…I am willing to add cash if yours is worth more. ”
“If your looking at this you know how hard these are to find especially unrestored. This one has been dry stored for more than 30 years and is solid. originally from high dessert central Oregon. This one is an all black orig.paint. someone at one point frosted the edges with green rattle can. this is #900 of 1779 made with the bigger 6 cyl. Motor,Trans,Drive shaft Gone.appears to have had a transplant.center tunnel changed. All the red you see underneath is the original primer and the dark spots are undercoating that didnt come off when i pressure washed it.still has 30+ years of dust in it.No Rust thru except at right cowl from towel sitting on it. Have Oregon Title.lots more underside pictures this thing is solid. Call before it hits ebay next week.”
Welcome to 2016. This is the 9th year of eWillys. Hopefully, once the book gets finished, which it will get finished, Ann and I will hit the road for more exciting adventures. We still have lots of things to see, people to meet and jeeps to drool over. I know for sure we’ll be in Utah in early June (my youngest son is graduating high school and wants us to take him to dinner. How can I resist that offer? We are also tentatively planning to go to the FC-Roundup in March. Over the past week I’ve been considering the possibility of exploring more of Nevada and southern Idaho for a couple reasons, but we also talked about trying to get to Europe. The latter idea may have to wait another year until we save some more money.
It amazes me that after 8 years and 35,500 posts that I can still find some unique content out there. I’ll keep turning over rocks until I run out of stories. Thanks for everyone’s support!!
