About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Given the price, maybe the seller doesn’t really want to sell it?

“This Jeep has been in our family since 1972. Runs great and has original motor. Was re-sleeved and brought back to standard pistons in 1984. Has been maintained and repainted. Was used only on hunting leases here in Texas. Has not been used much these past 10 years and its time to let it go. Four wheel drive in Granny will take you up any incline you have the guts to go up. Not the smoothest ride because of the leaf springs but she will outperform most all the ATV out there. Has a new battery and ready to ride. It has a permanent tow bar on front and requires a 1 7/8″ ball to tow her. Compared to a lot of Jeeps her age that have not been completely restored she top notch. Cash Only! No Dealer please! This one will go fast so its first person with the CASH gets it first.”

“1953 Willys CJ3A with Koenig Steel top stored in a barn since 1970 Runs & drives, brakes not working, has power brakes. Original wiring, new battery, charging system working. Factory heater. 50lbs oil pressure. Speedometer shows 16,000 miles, cable broken. Floor boards rusted. Great vehicle for restoration.”
“This jeep runs well and all gears work normal. It was modified for two gas tanks but I took the extra one out. I still have it. It fits under the passenger side and will go with the jeep if you want it. Light rust is found in most places, mostly surface type but its mostly solid. A few bad spots here and there. It will make an excellent hunting rig. This steering has also been modified and the steering gear box is on the front bumper which makes it more stable and takes out the wobble in the front tires. High arcs on the leaf springs, which is like new. Front bumper hinge attachment mounts for easy hook up for towing. This jeep has sat for 8 years and has been put back into service. It cranks fast and you cant beat it. No roll bar. It has a home made camo paint job, CB hook up, two seats in front, empty bed in back, spare tire on right side original size tire on spare rack, large tires on the ground, original 4 cyl engine 134, original Willys tail gate, the windshield will not fold down to the front because a support angle iron was welded to the sides of the frame for roll over protection, an alternate horn button was put in for the horn. No leaks have been found as of yet at least in the eng oil and watter systems. There is no rust in the radiator. Inter locking hubs on front wheels. Must see. Im working on pictures now. If interested call john at eight oh five-nine for four-for to one two.”
Michael spotted this link from the Chive that shows a 57 military jeep photos. They are labeled as “hi res” photos, but when I downloaded the one below, it wasn’t hi res. Still, they are well shot photos.
“I bought this Willys Jeep as a 1952 but think it is a 1953. It is a CJ3B with the best engine I ever heard on an old jeep. It is a flat fender jeep and buyers need to look at this jeep at 2130 U S Rte 5 N in Windsor, Vermont . If it is still posted, it is still for sale. No more pictures–come and see it. Thanks for looking.”
