Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Ann and her mom dropped by Dayton today to visit the National Museum of the Air Force. She didn’t find any jeeps, but she did run across this neat photo.

(07/31/2015) Cool paint job. Looks like a solid rig.
“1950 Willys CJ3-a. This was just rebuilt 100% with under 400 miles on it. No rust on frame, fiberglass body and fenders (retained steel hood, grille, windshield frame, dash and cubby under passenger seat). Has low mileage Ford 302/5.0 from mid 90s pickup and t-10 4 speed transmission adapted to Spicer 18 t-case. All have all new seals and gaskets. Runs/shifts/drives great. Also did Saginaw steering box conversion up front. Fresh brakes all the way, etc. Like I said ALL NEW ALL THE WAY. Thinking around $6500, but open to any reasonable discussion on price.”

Dual front shocks, New fuel tank and electric pump, New Power Steering pump, New Belts, Freshly wired with new Guages,…33’s. Just painted…Looks amazing! See it in Rathdrum at Elite Body Shop.”
