About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
The cage and the fenders give this crawler an unusual look.
“1948 jeep willy military , totally custom paint, body, suspension, roll cage, rock crawler bumpers and fenders, rear diff Dana 44/front Dana 30, original Go Devil engine, and three stick tranny, built for off-road.asking $3900 or OBO. Must sell, located in Miami.”
“This rare 1947 Willy’s purchased was by my dad several years ago and used to cruise the shores and get to exclusive hunting spots on Lake McConaughy in Nebraska. Unfortunately, he recently passed away so we brought the it back in hopes of finding a good home for it. My dad loved this vehicle, and as you can see, he put his creativity and character into it – he loved camo! It comes complete with three tool boxes that actually have supplies in them.
As far as we can see, most primary parts are original, however at some point it was switched to a 12 volt system, we are assuming due to the wench requirements. It runs pretty good considering it’s 66 years old, but probably could use a good oil change, some work on the brakes, and new tires. It is not street legal and probably wouldn’t be without some significant alterations.
If you are looking for a fun vehicle to go hunting or run around lake shores in, this is the one for you! Or, if you’re looking for a rare find to fully restore, this is a great one. Not everyone will get the opportunity to restore a 1947 Willy’s as apparently this type of classic military type of is becoming more and more rare.”
“Here is a 42 ford gpw, this jeep has had alot of work done to it so far and more to follow, I have repaired the body to make it a decent reenactor jeep, the frame is very soild as well, it has all original running gear minus the engine which is a cj2a,I do however have a ford block that will need a complete rebuild to throw in with the jeep, I have, front seats, two f marked fenders, f marked hood, f marked grill, and a few windshields.I am selling the jeep as a project for 3500$ as I continue to work on the jeep and fix parts the price will go up. I have mostly everything for the jeep minus small parts but this is a great start.”

Listed as a CJ-3B, the body is more like a CJ-3A (the windshield is 3bish). The hood looks carefully modified.
“Up for sal is my 1954 Willys CJ3B. This jeep had a modified engine when I bought it. Modified to a ford 2.0L engine. I have had this jeep for a couple years and I just don’t drive it enough. New brake cylinders and tires. Upgraded gauges. New hubs. When I bought it, none of the gauges matched so I bought a set. Has a new speedometer. I also put in a new fuse box as this jeep never had one and it worried me. I have had a vehicle catch fire before and it isn’t fun. This jeep is fun to drive. It gets about 27mpg around town.”
(11/30/2013) Looks like lots of work has been done.

Steve forwarded this gem. This photo and article were published in the February 1952 issue of Mechanix magazine (pg 76). The article highlights two entrepreneurs who decided to provide home tv repair service by refurbishing a trailer into a mobile repair station pulled by a CJ-3A.
Looks good, but seller notes it could use a little more work to be really nice.
“1963 Willys Jeep FC 150 with parts. I have almost two sets of extra running gear. There is a hard to find windshield. The 1963 runs drives and stops but could use a restoration to be really nice.”
