About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
The caption on the back of this postcard reads: SCENIC JEEP RIDES & ARCHERY at Cook Forest State Park on State Highway 36 along the Clarian River in north-western Pennsylvania. Wild life is plentiful in the park and may be seen by the alert visitor
Glenn forwarded Eric Walton’s CJ-8 Postal Jeep stories and links website. According to Eric, there were only 230 of these specially made 1984 Scrambler CJ-8 Postal Jeeps produced. As of a few years ago, he estimated that at most 200 remained. You can view a detailed serial number list at jeepheads.com: http://www.jeephead.com/1984_cj8s.htm

“Never hought I would do this but my 1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3B is for sale. Solid original Jeep from central Florida, not the rusted out junk you usually see. I bought this when I lived in FL in 1991 and drove it all over there. In fact, the in-plant parking sticker from Tropicana is still on the front bumper. Drove it for 2 or three years before moving north again and have not driven it on the road since, just around my last two places in the woods. It has an Indiana title. Still has the 6-volt system and original gauges, etc. The front seats were re-upholstered in a dark burgundy very high quality vinyl with new foam. I still have the very rare rear seat in the original color but can direct you to the place that did the front seats. It needs some detail things taken care of but nothing major and it is not some POS rat trap. Just things like the tail light lens is broken, speedo cable broke three or four years ago when I went out in the bad ice storm in front of the house to help get cars over the hill, wiper is not connected and stuff like that. This was the first year for the engine, which is the F Head with the overhead valves on the intake and in block exhaust valves. I believe it was used in the CJ5 until 1965. Parts are not a problem. “
“1949 Willy’s Overland Jeepster. A real show stopper! Excellent condition. Garaged its entire life. 39,182 original miles. Ragtop and side curtains replaced by previous owner. $15,000 or best offer. Shipping details negotiable. Serious inquiries only.”
(06/06/2014) It runs and drives. Not too far from me.
“1953 Willy’s. Has all the original parts. The original, F head 134 motor has been rebuilt and runs good. All original drivetrain. IT RUNS AND DRIVES !!! Needs paint but, you can still see the original traces of the air force blue. Perfect for a restoration into a ww2/korea army jeep. Ihave all the original parts that have been replaced in the photos.”
(06/19/2014) This might be a good price. It’s got some of the Fresno area mods (doors and the windshield). PIcs could be old or the camera’s date mixed up.
“1949 Willy’s Jeep with new 33″ tires. Chrystler V6 engine, tow bar and winch. $4000 or best offer.”
Totally restored? This jeep appears to have two different sets of data plates. It looks like it has 1 of 3 early plates on the dash and an additional later data plate on the passenger box.
“Ok all you old vehicle buffs. I have a 1949 Jeep Willy 4WD pickup, all original, 3 on the tree, original 6 volt battery, vacuum wipers and around 50,000 original miles. Used as a trap wagon in Pendleton and I bought it about 30 years ago with the hopes of fixing it up. It runs but needs a new battery, has a flat tire, and inside needs work. Chrome on it still shines. Key is in Montana (somewhere in the garage! lol) so I’m needing to get one made here. I really don’t want to sell it as I love it but if I haven’t fixed it up in 30 years – I don’t think I ever will…….. Bidding as already started at $1500. Please email me if you wish to put in a bid. Thanks for looking. Bidding is currently at 1750.”
“I have a 1956 FC-170 Forward Control Willys Jeep with a flat bed. It is 4 wheel drive with a 6 cylinder engine. The engine is not running, something is broke inside. It only turns over so far and stops. I’m asking $750.00 or OBO. I have the title to it.”
