These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have for sale this willys army jeep. It has a general motors 153 four cylinder in it. I have not had the engine running, but does turn over. It has rust through on the body, but can be restored. It has two data plates on it that have matching serial numbers. It has several good parts on it.”

(06/17/2015) “Has a new rebuilt SM420 4 speed transmission with new clutch mated to a Pontiac 400 V8 with a Holley 650 carb. Has Dana 44 axles. Aluminum radiator. All new wiring harness. Has white faced gauges. Has almost new BFG mud terrains on 15 inch wheels. Spare is same tire with different wheel. Has back seat. Super cool ride. Would be awesome in the dunes. Call for any info but please be serious and don’t waste my time! No I do not wanna talk about the one you had in the past!”

(04/01/2015) Another example of a flat tie front cowl blended onto a CJ-5 body. For kicks it has a MB?GPW windshield.

Last week I dropped by my parents house to visit. Naturally, I also had some sonny-do chores to finish, including my annual ‘sweeping of the roof’. Their tall fir trees might look beautiful, but eventually fall from the limbs and have to land somewhere. How they all seem to reach the roof remains a mystery to me.
The good news is I did manage to get a little work done on Biscuit. After swapping rear leaf spring combinations more times than i care to count, I finally got a grouping that puts the jeep level and the pumpkin at the right angle. That completes the changes necessary for the rear. Now I just have to finish off the engine compartment, brake, and clutch changes. I’m in no rush as the next book is the priority project, but hopefully by years end the jeep will be running again.
