About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Ann fired up her Cricket yesterday and printed out some labels that also act as instructions for starting and managing the jeep. She also add “ON” and “OFF” labels to make clear what switches need to be pressed. Starting the jeep is a five step process:
Power
Fan
Fuel pump
Ignition
Start (button)
In the first pic, the “2-” for the fan label is hiding behind the switch.
UPDATE: I just purchased a set of these off of eBay. The box has a little tear, but the pen and pencil are in good shape.

Looks like a nice rig. The seller includes more information in two of the pics. He does note that it does have a little hat channel rust. Thanks to Tom for sharing it.

“Only selling due to health changes, willing to negotiate, please make a fair offer. Can deliver for extra fee. This is a WW2 Jeep with low miles, runs like a dream. Very fun to drive in the desert. Recently restored. Majority is original 1940s-1950s parts. Has canvas top in good condition. Military vehicle great for collectors, historical, and the black out lights work too!”
“1950 Willys Jeepster, Jeep ran when it was parked about 5 years ago. Needed break lines. Pads swelled up wile it sat. Had to pull them to get it to roll. I’m posting this for my mother. I forgot to look at the mileage. I believe it’s around 40k. If posting is still up, it’s available. The longer it’s here, the more I’ll get done to it. I plan to get it running first. Then it will get brake lines. Which also means the price goes up. Please, don’t send us low ball or pointless messages offering half price. I get messages constantly. We have planned to sell this for over a year. I’ve watched the auctions. I’ve seen some that are far worse go for 20k. The price is 13k… That’s what we need. Show me one for less.. And it’s yours for the price.”
“Early civilian Willys Jeep in rough shape. Parts, project, wall art, yard art, Rat, the choice is yours. Has rust holes but it’s not a salty rot box. Floors have been patched all around. What you see is what I have. No title. Might be able to help with that for expenses, but you would need to help me confirm year and model and serial location correctly so I don’t have it wrong. Not sure of the exact model or year built. I know it’s the internet but please don’t roast me. I’m a Ford/Mopar/GM guy LOL.”
“***I am helping a friend sell this, please be patient and I will answer questions as I am able to relay them and get a response*** VIN: 38222 1946 Jeep Willys CJ2A 77 year old vehicle in fantastic condition has minor dings here and there but no major dents or damage to body or frame. Has some surface rust on undercarriage as shown. Needs a little TLC and can be a great winter project. Starts every time, but can be a little touchy with a one barrel carburetor. Numbers matching engine, original dash information tags included. Mostly original except basic maintenance items. Also unsure about the paint being original. Unlikely, unless the paint is very faded because research suggests the factory blue would’ve been much darker. New battery in 2019, whole fuel system replaced, fuel filter, fuel tank all done by Hubbell’s Auto Repair in Marion, IA. Had professional welder check over undercarriage and did frame brace welding work. Factory storage bin under passenger seat was professionally refabricated and welded by the same welder and he did a great job. Factory bikini top included. Originally 6V converted to 12V prior“
