About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Very good condition, engine is disassembled for rebuild, transmission and transfer case is tight. Has new seat covers, exhaust system, gas tank and some weather stripping. All rust has been cut out and replaced with new metal and or panels. Needs wiring harness, engine rebuild, odds and ends parts, paint, and reassembly.”
“Flat fender painted military green. Has late model Chevy S-10 Blazer running gear. V-6, Automatic, power steering. Good tires, no rust. Good for hunting or running around the ranch. Comes with saddle tank and Tow bar.”
“What you are looking at is a REALLY cool opportunity for a rat rod, or a restoration, or a neat little delivery vehicle for your auto parts biz. This is a 2 wheel drive Willy’s DJ-3a dispatch Jeep. lots of people think they were for the post office, but they were generic delivery vehicles. lots of small businesses in the 50’s and 60’s ran these.
The Jeep is relatively complete with column shift etc. It is missing the radiator. The motor etc is a little bit mystery, as this Jeep hasn’t been registered since the 70’s
DMV said not to do anything as far as registration until your ready to put on the road. Which means NO TAXES!!!”

Matt found this interesting blog about a couple of guys who wanted to revisit some of the adventures of the Long Range Desert Group in North Africa. They restored two jeeps and planned to cover 1200 miles.
They wrote, “For two weeks we shall re-enact many of the daring escapades of the legendary Long Range Desert Group in a pair of original 1943, World War Two, Jeeps. Our expedition, limited to just eight people, will drive through the stunning dunes of the Great Sand Sea. Explore the Gilf el Kebir, a plateau the size of Switzerland. Camp under the stars a million miles from the nearest town. Stand in the Cave of the Swimmers, immortalised in the film, The English Patient. Live for that Ice Cold in Alex moment as we celebrate in exactly the same bar as they did 70 years ago. This is no cruise along the Mediterranean coast, but the real thing, sweat, steam and fatique, but with a fully equipped logistics team on hand to cook, wash up and guide us through some of the most beautiful desert scenery on the planet. “
“Here’s a nice bulkhead for a GP. I know a lot of the panels are reproduced but you need the cowl section in order to have a complete tub. This piece is in excellent condition with only a couple of holes for extra gauges that can be easily patched. It’s not often you find this piece up for sale. Pick up preferred unless you make your own shipping arrangements.”

“Radicall 48 willys truck, bed halved and shortend, roof cut flat, 500+hp 355 small block, very fast! Running 3″ race pipes so is very loud would require mufflers for everyday street use. Runs105 or preferably 110 race gas NOT PUMP GAS, but readily available. Could be rejetted and detuned but with 11 to 1 compression would not run well and would gas ping bad on pump gas you buy. Selling due to age and health its a young mans toy but not a teenager, maybe a father son hobby. Inside is all buisness full gauges an tach. No heat no ac. Turbo 350 with shift kit and stall converter, rockwell posi rear. Hurst vertigate shifter. Have stock rear fenders would require modifacation to fit bed, extra doors an hood. NO FREE RIDES with this one so cash and we can go from there. Might take partial trade on somthing interesting project ok but must run an drive. Tons of fun you wont park next to another one at strip or rod meet!”
