Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1949 Willy’s Jeep 289 Ford V8 with Holley fuel injection carburetor. 4 speed Granny low Warn overdrive Dana 44 axles with posi in rear. Power steering Disk brakes on front axle, drum on rear. Has custom aluminum large fuel tank under rear seat. 33×12.50 tires about 90% tread”

Tom shared this nice looking rebuild. A few details need finishing.
“New parts • Voltage regulator, wiring harness for dash, full body harness, instrument gauges, head lights, tail lights, wiper, tail gait, chains, hood blocks, seat foam, seat covers, E-brake cable, throttle & choke cable, whole distributor, cap & rotor, spark plugs, wires and welting.
Body• Replaced body sides front to back, floors in front and back, wing steps on fenders, tail gait. NOT A BONDO JOB! New hardware in so places, used but completed restored old hardware in others. Like footman loops and bolts.
Inspected and conditioned parts•
Transmission
Transfer case
Front and rear diff
All gear oil completely drained and new gear oil replaced
Radiator cleaned, painted and pressure tested
It runs good, does not smoke. Four wheel drive and transmission are great!
I need to finish wiring the signals, get horn work and adjust brakes. Those things I can do easily. But it’s a real nice Jeep and hard to find one in this great of condition!!! Lots of video and pics if you want them.”
This looks like a good price on a hard-to-find-in-the-west Worman jee-cab hardtop.

“Project truck runs but needs love. New brakes need bled. Nice seats. 283 V8 3 speed. Bought it for $3500 replaced brakes and here it sits. I will take a loss on it just to get it gone but $3500 is rock bottom firm price. Will trade for fishing boat or classic pickup truck. These Willy Jeeps are small I barely fit in it and I really would like to not be working on old trucks anymore. Would rather go fishing. I have some extra parts for it. It’s really solid old rig just shows age. Price is firm so don’t waste time offering less. Clean title in My name ready for transfer”
