About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“An old Jeep that hasn’t moved for years. It does appear complete. No title. Hoping for somebody to come pick it up, but willing to deliver for a fee.”
“’47 Willys CJ2A. Ran and drove 6 years ago. Went down highway fine. We used to drive it around town. It has been sitting for 6 years. Needs electric fuel pump and gas tank was icky. I half assed flushed it. Will start/run with gas in carb. engine is a Ford Pinto engine. Ran prefect when we drove it. Not all original as you can see. I don’t know the extent of it. Clear title. Located in Isle. May consider partial trade. Polaris snowmobile, dune buggy etc. Trail mower.”
“I have a two 1940s CJ2A Willys Jeeps parts vehicles for sale. I used these to help restore my 1948 CJ2A. There are still some bits left on them that someone may be able to use. One is just a frame and the other has the tub although the tub is in pretty rough shape. You will need a trailer and a winch to get these out.
Bill Falconer scored a set of extremely rare “summer”-type hubs that are stamped F.E.G. Even better, he was able to get the original box that accompanied them, which included some additional information.
When I first published the post about the various Summer Hub models, I included a photo of an F.E.G. hub, but the only reference I had was that photo. I could finding nothing else about them. Thankfully, the New Hampshire Fish and Game, which owned these hubs originally, bought from a Willys dealership in Colebrook, New Hampshire (which has since been bulldozed), kept the information it had. So, now we know a little more.
According to the Box’s information, these summer hubs were $20. F.E.G also offered a locking type for $65. Unfortunately, the part showing how to order the hubs was torn from the box.
So, what does “F.E.G.” mean? In researching these, I found a company called F.E.G. out of Mexico that has a subsidiary parts maker, HOWEVER it appears the company wasn’t around in the 1950s. Thus, I am at a dead-end on the company’s history. I suppose it’s possible that F.E.G. are just someone’s initials.
UPDATE: I first posted this March 29, 2011. It includes a dialogue with my late mother, where she explains that the Naches Trail was my first jeeping excursion (it was likely 1966 and I would have been around 1 year old).
================================
JPZombie has posted several vintage videos on Youtube. Here are a few showing the club in the Naches Trail area west of Yakima in Washington State.
Seller calls this a jeep, but it looks more like a Landrover (which didn’t appear in Jurassic Park, according to both my memory and this website). But, you never know when something this unusual will appeal to someone.
Looks in good shape, though needs ‘tuning’ of some kind.
“We have a 1947 Willy’s jeep. It has a few things that need tuned on it but for the most part is good to go. I used it for a little while back and forth on the highway. It’s a super fun little rig”
“This Jeep starts, runs and drives. Fiberglass body tub and fenders. Windshield, hood and grill are OE. 12v conversion. Minimal frame rust and no apparent cracks. New fuel tank. Brand new full manual set. Hand brake doesn’t work. Needs tires and shocks. Oil seeping in several places from the drive train. When I purchased this Jeep, I was told the brakes and the clutch had been replaced. I have not verified that, but the brake lines have been replaced and the backing plates are solid. The clutch does not slip or chatter. The roll bar is only for appearance.”
“I’m looking to sell my 1947 stretched CJ2A this was stretched by a dealership back in the day. I bought this off a ranch in Michigan where it’s been since new. This Jeeps runs and drives I just replaced the brakes on this Jeep. Looking to get 7000 located in vermilion Ohio”
