About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

The good news is that I’ve got some good stuff to share monday, but right now I’m busy completing my computer rebuild. I got my new terabyte hard drive on my laptop, which should give me plenty of hard drive space (1.5 Terabytes in total) for the next few years. However, during my move I ran into the normal tech problems (several old forgotten passwords and problems moving some applications to the new hard drive). Worse, something got into my email server this morning (maybe I opened a bad email?) and wiped out about 10 months of emails from my inbox. Not good. Fortunately, my ‘sent’ folder is still in tact, so I haven’t lost everything.
A seller on eBay broke up a Product Merchandising Manual and sold it in pieces. I bought this section (Sales Aides), and several others. Unfortunately, I don’t have the resources to buy all of them (and some of them are overpriced in my opinion).
These three pages demonstrate items used by the sales team to sell Willys Vehicles. One of these aides I’ve never run across is the “Civil Defense Brochure” shown on Page 2 under Selective Marketing Booklets.
This Market Research section of the Product Merchandising Manual is very interesting, particularly since it covers Washington State (where I live). Because some of the information is broken down by county, and because varies quite a bit, especially east and west of the Cascade Mountains, it’s likely possible to draw some national conclusions about vehicle ownership percentages, etc.
Mark asked about finding a SEEP in a museum. So, I this post reflects GPAs in museums and around the world. I’m sure there are others. If you know of any more, please email me a link or add it to the comments.
In Bangkok, Thailand, this SEEP is housed with several other jeeps at the Chokchai Museum. This video shows a short walk around. That might be a M-606 next to it.

“Guys, I have up for sale my Willys Jeep, which is my favorite vehicle of all time. Like the jeeps of the WWII era, this Jeep is the small 4X4 (w/lockout hubs), with the original drivetrain, including the 4cyl L134 flathead engine (runs like new), and 3sp transmission with low and high range. All of this works perfectly. I drive this Jeep on the highway, often 75 miles or more through the country to take care of property that belongs to my mother. The steering is good and tight as is all the suspension. It has one-month-old tires and a very good spare. All the gauges and lights work great. The brakes are all new, wheel cylinders and shoes so it stop very good. It has a good clutch and horn. It is now 12 volt, converted over when it was restored several years back, with a modern alternator. The Jeep has a new convertible top (and doors as shown) only a few months old. It has a great original steering wheel. It has a very good digital radio mounted under the dash and good speakers mounted under the front seats. It has electric wipers and a seat for the back that is very good like the front. New cargo mat in the rear and new mats in the front. The original heater works great, too with hi and low blower speeds. I guess you understand by now that I have this vehicle ready for warmer weather. And, now my whole life plan has changed and I’ll have to let it go. I will be moving to Brazil to volunteer at a Christian project to house street kids near Sau Paulo. Needing all the financial support I can get, I am pretty much selling everything I do not absolutely have to keep. That’s why I am listing the Willys. By the way, It will come with a nice high-dollar aluminum, quick attach tow bar that makes it a dream to tow. Well, thanks for looking. I will be happy to provide additional information and I hope the right person gets the Jeep to enjoy for years to come. God bless.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** This sold. Was listed at $12,000.
“1942 Ford GPW. WWII (Jeep). Restored around 2006. We have owned her since approx. 1972.
Comes with .30 Cal browning. In many car shows and parades in Big Bear. My father and I did the work, but since he passed I have held on as long as I could. Clutch fork went out and I started to fix but realized I don’t know what I’m doing. Asking 12,000.00. Make offer. Serious buyers only. This slightly more rare Ford Jeep needs a good home.”
