“1950 Willie’s jeep. Set on a 2000 f350 frame with the 7.3 diesel motor and 6 speed manual transmission. Runs.”
Barry shared this cool video showing a Salvage Workshops great find: five jeeps and parts.
Bill shared this nice story about a group of students who rebuilt a family’s jeep after the owner died.

Chris was wondering if anyone knows more about why this postcard describes these vehicles as “Phantoms”, especially when the look more like Ford GPs than Bantam prototypes?
Toby purchased a 1966 CJ-5 from an original owner and found this letter inside the owners manual. Note the last paragraph (no coverage for squeak and rattles, lol).
Bill shared this article about some modern-day jeeps you might not want to purchase. I really can’t say how accurate most of this article is, as I’ve never owned or driven any of these.
This appears worth a look.

“Selling my 53 Willys. I just don’t use it enough. This is a 53 body, on a 58 frame. It has a Dauntless V6 out of a 67CJ. Lots of upgrades;
11 inch brakes with dual reservoir master cylinder, updated steering with a saginaw steering box, new tie rods, etc. All new springs and shocks. Engine was rebuilt 5 years ago and has maybe 1500 miles on it. Rebuilt transmission(T14) , transfer case ,and overdrive. Tires are excellent. Lots of spare parts included.
5:38 rear end so this is not a highway jeep”
This has a variety of updates.

“This Willys M38 is in excellent condition except for the top.
There is a Clean, Clear Colorado Title.
It is modified to a low miles Buick V6 called the 231 Even Fire.
The clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing are all new as well as the Brass Pilot Bushing in the back of the crankshaft.
It is a running, driving vehicle that needs a few little touch ups but overall it is a very good running machine.
The four shifters are as follows:
Three Speed with Reverse, Overdrive, 4X4 and the short one puts the entire unit in neutral.
You can shift into Overdrive in Every Gear.
All four tires are brand new, the brakes work excellent and the built on Winch is in perfect condition.
It is very fun to drive and it starts every time I have ever needed it.”
