Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “FOR SALE: 1948 Willys pickup, completely original, with engine, trans, and transfer case, everything there, very restorable or rod, as you want. any questions please call FRED. ASKING $2500.00 OR BEST OFFER”

“I have a 1947 CJ2 for sale it has the original Hercules motor in it and runs very smooth. I use the jeep on my place when the weather is nice. I put all new front end bearings in it and tie rod ends. The box was extended about 18 inches when I bought it. The person who extended it actually did pretty good work when they did it. Not going to lie it does need some work if you want to fully restore it but that’s to be expected it is a 47 but for the most part it is in fairly good shape all the lights work and horn 4×4 works good both high and low range.”

“For sale 46 willys jeep. Jeep runs & drives. Needs battery & front breaks. Has new tires on the rear. Has soft top on it & has hard top to go with it. Have doors to go with soft & hard top. Has a stock heater in it. Asking 6000 or best offer.”
This June 1955 photo shows the huge cougar caught by four hunters using Willys Trucks and Wagons.
John spotted this video. There aren’t any jeeps, but there is some off road action in 1930s Fords. A fun video to watch.

“1954 CJ3 WILLYS JEEP. pretty much all original. original motor transmission and transfer case front end and rear end. This jeep does not run but could with very little work. The body has some rust and will need some patchwork. Call for more information ask for Seth.”
