About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“This was rebuilt about 20 years ago and has been kept in a garage. My father-in-law used to run it around the neighborhood for fun. Front tires are dry rotted and the brakes need work. Engine runs great and the rest is in good mechanical state. Has some rust spots and will need some work. Call 412-655-9793.”
“1982 Classic Mail Jeep. Model DJ-5L, Delivery Jeep. Once an official postal delivery truck. Equipped with steering on the right-hand side. One seat and lots of room for hauling. Locks up nicely.
This is a practical and fun vehicle! Starts good and runs good. The 4 cylinder engine is very sound and strong. Clean carburetor. Not bad on gas. Also has a good transmission system (automatic). 2 Wheel Rear Wheel Drive. Has many new parts installed still under warranty including: Alternator, Starter, Battery, Coil Pack, and Headlights. It also has a new Ignition Switch, new Spark Plugs, and new flashers. All lights and turn signals work great. Good heater. Brakes were recently redone. Tires decent.
Some things on this vehicle still need repair. Needs body work. Needs a wiper motor, needs a speedometer/odometer cable, and needs a floating sensor for the gas tank. Needs a new gas tank (the current tank holds gas but has a hole in the top part). The interior could use a little care; for example the seat is worn out and there’s a rust hole (2in. diameter) on the driver’s side wheel well. The body shows some rust, especially in the rear underneath. All original parts for this vehicle are available at PostalJeep.net.
Simple vehicle, easy to work on, enjoyable to drive, plenty of clearance for crawling underneath. Original mail tray, original key, original drivers manual included. Call 859-756-4191”

“I have for sale this willys jeep. It is a rolling frame only, no motor, transmission, transfer or drive shafts. What you see is what you get. This jeep does have rust through and rust repairs. It has the windshield frame, fenders, hood, grill, tub, tailgate, gas tank, front axle and springs, rear axles and springs, tool box lid and steering sector. It is a parts jeep only no title. I am asking $575 or best offer.”
“Generator is a U. S. Navy World War II era unit powered by a original Willy’s Jeep four cylinder engine. The Generator was manufactured by O;Keefe and Merrit. It appears to be a PE-95G 10 KW and is designated a U. S. Navy N-15. It will provide 120 or 240 Volts at 60 hertz. It is started by using the exciter field of the generator and not a separate engine starter. Most of these generators saw little use during WWII but were used extensively in the Korean and Vietnam wars. A unit almost identical to this one showed up on the TV show Mash in one episode. Own a piece of history!
Generator has two brand new 12 volt batteries. Also included so that one can operate “off the grid” or have a ready source to power a home or anything else is a:
RONK 7205A 200 Amp Meter-right Transfer Switch that list new for about $800 It does not appear to have had any use.
This doesn’t run and the rear portion of the body isn’t original (or has been modified).
“Vintage 1949 Jeep Willys CJ3A; 2 door, hard top coupe; 6 volt, 4 cylinder engine, dual transmission.
Selling for $2500 OBO.
Bought this Jeep intending to fix it up, but never found the time. Everything on it is all original. The hard top feature is quite unique for Jeep Willys. The engine did run on last start up, but has not been maintained or started for several years- it does not currently run, but should start again with a small amount of work.
This would be a great restoration project for someone to take on, but it will require some time. Feel free to stop by and take a look. It is located about 6 miles northwest of Wausau, WI.
As it does not currently run, the buyer will need to make arrangements to haul or tow it.
Call 715-675-7576 for inquiries or to view. Do not respond via email.”

This had a CJ-3A Hardtop. Probably easier to get a 3A windshield than redo the hardtop to fit the 2A windshield. This has a variety of updates.
“Cheap Jeep!! Its been fun but I have decided to move on to other adventures and projects. Time to let this one go for which I will be taking a hit in the wallet of course. Can be driven but needs some work to make this a daily runner. Brakes work great with upgraded master cylinder, Cherokee pedals, hydraulic clutch, LED tail lights, growler siren for horn, and has a hood.
ARB lockers front and rear
On board air compressor
3 speed manual transmission
Chevy V6 229, nothing fancy
12V system and all rewired/updated
Rhino liner in the tub
12,000 lb winch
Hard top goes with but is from a CJ3 so needs mods ($$ invested)
Roll bar
Have electric wipers (not installed)
Other parts too.
Paint is John Deere Rustoleum yellow
Will consider trades but no junk.”
