About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Eric spotted this for sale. He writes, “This is a jeep about 10 miles from me. It is nice. It is in good shape with a M38 grill and is a CJ3A. It has replaced diamond plate front floors, rear floor and upper fender wells. Hat channel on drivers side has some repair.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2800. I like this for the price.
(09/24/09)This looks good and comes with many parts.
“Inherited from brother and all I’ve done is store it for six years and run it once in a while. Don’t really know a lot about the jeep other than the following. Dana 23’s in the front with 35’s in the rear. Engine is 1972 Chevy Vega 140 cu/in (2300cc) aluminum block with steel sleeves. “Tight pattern” Saginaw four speed and all cynchroes work. Custom built “Very stout” rollcage with (6) bolt down locations. Roll bar is tied-in the heater system and has small holes that defog the front window and sides. Padded bucket seats have five-way seat harness system. Padded rear seat w/back rest has seat belts. Has PTO Koenig winch. I personally have never gone four wheeling in the jeep but everything seems to work. Inside floor board has some very light rust. Also has toe-bar and bakini top.”
No pics, but includes an overdrive. It’s worth a look.
“I have a jeep that needs a home where someone will give it the attention it deserves. It has the original motor , 12volt, still has the foot switch starter, Warn overdrive. This is a fun jeep , you could fix it up or keep it as is. Great project. Hasent been registered in a couple years , you would be responsible for that. Sorry no pictures its kind of buried in my garage.
This looks like a good price. Since the first GPW wasn’t built until February of 1942, I suspect this is not a ’41.
“Ford military jeep. New battery, plugs, head gasket, coolant, brake flush, with flex lines replaced where needed. Runs and drives, gages work, windshield is clear. Fuel tank is clean and does not leak. Older restoration.”
UPDATE: This is in Nebraska and not Illinois as I originally reported.
It doesn’t run, but it appears pretty solid.
“1948 CJ-2A Willy’s Jeep with 17873 original miles. It has not ran for some years and was stored inside until about 6 months ago. Clean for the year. Asking $2500, cash only, no trades. Call (308) 279-one seven eight three, no emails.”
“I seriously love this thing, but Im not really set up to work on him at this point in time. Open to selling to the right owner who can take better care if him… Runs great and drive him regularly. Takes some talent to get into first, but you’ll get the swing of it. Orig transmission, 64 Chevy 327 engine, new fuel pump and filter few months ago. Call or txt Emily at 925-451-3797 for more information.”
“1947/48 ?? Willys CJ-2A- PROJECT/ RAT ROD. The only major item missing is the windshield frame. Sale includes an engine that has already been disassembled and prepped for rebuild. It includes new rings, bearings and a gasket set. See photos. A spare engine, transmission and transfer case are included. The body tub of this truck is rough. The frame is excellent. This is a great rebuild candidate. I have rebuilt several of these great old trucks. I just do not have the time right now to start this project.
I do not know the exact year of this truck. I do not have any papers for this truck so it will be sold with a bill of sale only.
Call my cell 631-987-4747, if I do not answer, leave me a message. Saturday and Sunday, you can try calling me at work 631-588-3543, ask for Fred”
Dave Brevard saw Doug’s 4-Wheelers during a recent trip.
He writes, “On our way from North Carolina to the Willys Reunion in Missouri we detoured
and spent some time visiting our daughter in Iowa. The attached pictures show some of the Jeeps at a salvage yard about 4 miles east of Pella, Iowa. There are more there, but I wasn’t dressed properly to push through the tall weeds and investigate. All are really rough, but have lots of parts.”
