About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“it runs and drives only grill hood engine compartment windshield and roof are only body parts left.frame has extra steel welded to reinforce, could use a bit more. motor runs fresh carb cleaning,, new coil, was driving and radiator started leaking. bill of sale only.”
“1942 Willys MB I just decided to focus my time on other projects. 305 sbc Engine runs fine but the transmission/transfercase are shot. Will come with: T90 transmission- needs a full rebuild Dana 18 transfer case – needs a full rebuild Th350 auto transmission – good condition Np205 transfer case- good Np203 transfercase Extra rolling chassis for cj5 with lift kit. I’m not going to part out. No low-ball offers. Not interested in trades.”
“1947 Willys Jeep CJ 2a. Has a Hurricane F Head 134 out of a later CJ, hence the bump in the hood. The swap was probably done decades ago but seems to have been done well. Wiring has been gone through and headlights, high beams, brake lights and tail lights all work. Runs good and drives good but has some play in the steering. New military style seats and eBay special “Ahwoogah” horn. Clean Title. Not in a hurry to sell but will entertain offers”
UPDATE: This post originally appeared September 28, 2013:
It’s a dirty business, but hunting down jeep stories takes me through all types of content. In this case, I had to search through several pages of bare female breasts and bodies until I found this story about a Yakima Jeep Rodeo from the March 1959 issue of Modern Man. I can report that accompanying the enthusiastic models were several other interesting stories . . .
“1962 Willie’s jeep pickup in original condition great shape for the yr has a Ford 302 motor in it awesome truck everything works needs a front drive line $8800 firm no trades serious inquiries only”
“Pair of CJ2A’s. One that’s partially burned is 1946 (has title) with Dana 25/41 axles. Has 134 L-head motor which turns over and stock 3-speed with Dana 18. Tires are 7×16’s all new but left rear is partially burned. Other 2A doesn’t have title. Has Dana 25/44. Has a 3 speed in it. Come as you see them. Willing to trade only for a fixture table, 14”+ metal working lathe and/or milling machine.”
“1960 Willy’s CJ3B Needs new flywheel, have the parts just no time to work on it. 3spd with overdrive. 4wd works, 33 super swampers, winch. Very good condition ”
“Recently imported from Japan. After Jeep was done producing the Willys they sold the rights off to Mitsubishi to be produced for many years after. So this is essentially a Willys Jeep. Diesel engine, 4×4 , fires right up and drives fine. 4 speed manual on the tree ( right hand drive). Comes with an extra set of larger tires. Just don’t have the time for this project at the moment. I have the Japanese title in hand and all the paperwork to transfer. Will need an inspection to get an Az title”
The serial number puts this as a very early 1948. This had quite the bumper/tow-bar setup. I’m guessing the rear rack might have been used also as a top?
“This is a 1946 or so Willys CJ2A. Serial number 149435. It has sat forever.. And much of the time in a creek bed, judging by the sand underneath. I got most of it off by pressure washer, but it needs more. Much more. Really do not know much about it as I got it in a package deal with a lot of other stuff. The body is rough and tumble but other than a rust out by drivers door, is not too bad in the rust department. The passenger flat metal floor has same rust holes. The engine , well for that matter ,the axles, wheels, tranny, transfer case, hubs, and all do do not move now either. So this is either for parts or for a major rebuild. Bill of sale only”
