“Fully restored. 1954 Willys Jeep. This Jeep was from Arizona so it is a survivor. With the exception of the tailgate and a few pieces in the drivers footwell, its original metal. In total there’s less than a 1/4 cup of filler and that is in the hood covering an existing weld done years ago. The body was completely stripped, sand blasted and coated with high build epoxy primer so that we could examine for rusty areas. Then coated with 3 coats of Luzon red base and 3 clearcoats. the interior is coated in color matched bed liner, as were the wheel wells. See photos of the d/s floor replacement and top hat stiffeners. The original 15” wheels were blasted and powder coated and fitted with period all terrain tires of the correct proportions.
The transmission including transfer case were rebuilt with new bearings and several “out of spec’n” shafts. A new Saturn overdrive was installed so that you can get down the road at approaching respectable speeds. Most people that pass, just give an energetic thumbs up. (we did see 60mph one time) but typically you’re rushing around at 50-55mph.
The head was removed, and valves recut. The cylinders were still within tolerance, and she exhibits no smoking and uses no oil. The pressures were all within 10% of each other. The drive train has all new CV joints, transmission brake parts and axle seals. The brake master cylinder is new as are the front slave cylinders. The backs had been replaced the year we bought her!
The color is Luzon red, a beautiful deep red that was a Willys color for the 1952 jeeps. The colors for ’54 were slightly better than boring. Just about the first thing people comment about is the color. She has a 2″dia roll bar behind the seats and is fitted with a Bestop top that is easily removed or installed for late fall or spring driving. We keep the top on but doors off and sides rolled up for sun protection.
It’s a fun Jeep, don’t expect to cover hundreds of miles of freeway driving. These post war Jeeps were almost farmers tractors. But with the huge radiator and fan, she will happily rock hop all day.
We literally have thousands of dollars of invoices for the new parts.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
Several folks forwarded this one. Interesting that this has a top with side windows. It just further demonstrates that the CJ-5 and DJ-3A versions of this top were interchangeable.

“1947 Willy’s jeep! It has the original drivetrain in it. Flathead 4 cylinder with a manual transmission and t-case. It ran great until it spun a main bearing last spring so it doesn’t run now and I don’t have the time to get it there at the moment. I don’t need to sell it but would rather have someone fix it then it just sit. It comes with an extra hood, grill, bed extension, half cab, transfer case, one spare wheel, and some other parts like a front bumper.
I’m asking $3,000 and have a clean clear title in hand.”
Has some mods, including redone floors.
