About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“One of 1,000 EVER made, all in 1950 for the US Navy. As far as I can tell, only 70 or so have survived.
This one runs and drives, but will need work, most importantly, it has no windshield, but it, along with most other parts interchange with the CJ3A.”
(06/23/2013) It appears to have an early gas tank.

“Up for sale is a 1943 Ford GPW (Jeep Willys) that need complete restoration. I got this a couple of years ago in hopes to restore a piece of history, but I just have too many projects to give this the attention it needs. The pics don’t show it well, but the windshield is laying in the front seats. I also, have the title in hand. Please do not just ask if this is still for sale? I will not respond to that question, if the add is still posted it is still for sale and I will remove it once sold. Thanks for looking.”
Hugh spotted this on eWillys and went to look at it. He was pleasantly surprised to discover it was better than it looked in the pictures, so he bought it.
He writes, “This is the 47 cj2a i picked up in niangua missouri. The thing runs like a sewing machine. The previous owner and his brother meticulously maintained the drive train. The shock absorbers are shot, the springs are flat and it needs new tires. I put more than fifty miles on it today and it seems very dependable. Its very original but not a show piece, but heck, i just like to drive em, preferably off road!”
