Here’s a trade that might interest someone.
“Trade for older vintage Jeep CJ CJ4 CJ5, wanting a more original Jeep than a lifted modified one.
Let me know what you have, condition.
1980 Harley Roadster XLS 1000 Sportster. Heres some info on the bike. Mostly original, tank is perfect, fenders are nice. More rare model than the Sportster. Blacked out engine from the factory. XLS came with factory extended forks, blacked out engine, 16 rear wheel, Roadster 3.3 gallon tank among a few other items.
The tires seem okay but they are the ORIGINAL! Goodyear tires. So that tells you the bike has been babied. No leaks from engine around bike. I put on a new Mikuni 38mm Flatslide carb, with new adapters and throttle cable from Barrett Clutch. A few extras included. Sisssy bar, original carb, whatever else I have.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
(08/27/2014) This jeep sports a Buick 215 V8.
“I am selling my 1950 Willys Jeep CJ2a. This is a great jeep that drives really well. This jeep has been modified to be easy to drive and usefully Yet maintains a close to stock look. This jeep has an exelent body with almost no rust. I have never seen a body this clean that was not on a fully restored jeep. The frame is clean and rust free. The front end is very cleanly lengthened about 4 inches to make room for the motor. The engine in it is an aluminium block buick 215 V8 that runs strong. Just did a tune up on it with new plugs rotor cap and coil. The transition and transfer case both shift well. The transfer-case does seep a small spot of oil after being driven pretty far. The steering is tight and has tilt with power steering that works terrific(stable and smooth at 50mph. New 31×10.5r15 Mud tires. Comes with a best top bikini top.
This is a really fun jeep to drive and perfect for exploring the high country. It does need a speedometer and for the fuel gauge and temp gauge to be hooked up its on my list of things to do list and easy enough to do I just have not had time to work on it. Ask if you have questions. 5000 or best offer.”
UPDATE: Was $2000. **Status Unknown**
(09/22/2013) A little rough, but runs and drives.
“I have a great CJ-3A for sale. I am the third owner and know a bit of history about it. It has been stored inside for most of its life, but we have moved and don’t have anywhere to keep it now. It runs well and could pass inspection and be on the road with little to no work. I have re-done the brakes and wiring, as well as replaced the carburetor, fuel pump and more. However, it does have some damage to the body. The front fenders are a bit in rough shape, as well as patches of the tub. The starter button sticks a bit, but it does start right up and runs strong. Let me know if you want to take a look.
No top anymore, but I do have 2 sets of 5 tires and wheels and still have the doors.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $4500.
(04/27/2014) It looks like it has some rhino lining on the dash.
