About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“This is a project. My husband packed it home as a project and it has set here long enough. He has been told it is time to go. Only asking what he spent 400. No title. Will provide bill of sale. Can be looked at after 5 pm weekdays and have more time on weekends. Text or call. Everything told to me is that this is a 1942 Ford GPW. “
(08/05/2014) Make sure to put “Cab Over” in the subject line of the email to help seller weed out spam emails.
“Please read entire ad before responding. 1959 Willys Jeep “Forward Control”, FC-150, Deluxe Cab over engine, 4×4. All original and always stored indoors. Runs, drives and stops well for 55 year old vehicle. New carb. kit, installed. New fuel tank and sending unit installed. All fluids changed. Good windshield. Door glass and rear glass are cracked but good for templates or drive as is. Flat glass can be replaced by most local glass shops. Cab corners in good shape. All interior parts are there, including dog house, rare glove box and has new seat covers installed. These vehicles are rare to find in this condition, anywhere, in the Midwest. It is NOT a rust bucket, NOT a parts truck. All frame, tailgate and sheet metal in great shape. No rust or rot. A classic vehicle not seen often these days. I DON’T NEED to sell it and I, sure, DON’T need any help to do so. I know what these are worth so save us both some time and don’t attempt a low ball offer, not going to happen. I’ll just keep it. It’s a cool old truck! It needs to be driven and I don’t have the time. Local pick up only, will not ship. Have your money in hand. I have title in hand and it is current on registration. Registered in Iowa as “Antique”, includes perfect, vintage Y.O.M. (1959) Iowa, “Iowa County” (48), plates to drive with legally. Can e-mail pictures, etc. Include “Cab Over” in subject or it will be deleted due to scammers. Include e-mail and phone number in response. Thanks for looking!”

Jeep has original flat 4 motor that needs rebuilt. Has original radiator, gas tank, 15″ rims plus spare. Drivetrain looks to be complete and original. Steering and linkage all original. Suspension all original and complete. Seats need work, but original. Tub is original, some rust present and needs some work. Tail gate present. Flat fenders original and in good shape. This Jeep is not running and needs restoration, but appears to be mostly original and complete.”
It’s got a few upgrades, including (I think) the hudson steering upgrade.
“Willys in great shape. Inherited from 1st owner who bought it in 47 (first year civilian model). Mid 60’s upgrades: V6 Buick, larger drum brakes, “modern steering setup”, locking hubs, Warn overdrive, custom made two door aluminum cab and mounted tool book, repainted original red. Other accessories, roll-bar, tow-bar, aux. gas can removable rack, “dash board” enclosed gun-rack/storage area. Mid 2005 a McQ High school shop class upgrade began, including rebuild of engine at AIMS Machine Shop, transmission pulled and all gaskets replaced, new alternator, starter, water pump, boiling out radiator and fuel tank, total professional rewiring, new “original equip” seats (all three), shocks and a lot of elbow grease. Still needs windshield replacement (gaskets in tool box), exhaust system replacement, new tires, and speedometer repair. This has never been in an accident and garaged most of it’s 67 years! It’s not a modern 4-wheeler I didn’t like going over 45 even in overdrive. It’s nice and narrow and climbs anything you can imagine, Granny is ridiculously low.”
“This 1950 truck was the first Fire truck for the Linwood, Minnesota Fire Department. It Has had a lot of work done to it recently. We had it running about a year ago, so the engine is good.”
