About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Poor Biscuit has been run so little this year that we had to get him a new battery for xmas. That perked him right up! We took him for a spin between rain showers and snapped some pics. There might be some updates on Christmas day . . . or there might not be.
Yesterday I received a book I purchased earlier this month called “Circus and Carnival Trucks 1923-2000″. Though mostly about trucks, the book includes several pictures of jeeps. One of the pictures shows a jeep modified into a performance prop called the “Little Red School House”. Essentially, it’s a mobile school house that can be brought into a performance and then quickly driven away.
Trying to find other examples of this, I discovered a great thread from the CJ-2A Page about a jeep ownerwho managed to track down the history of a early CJ-2A his father bought from the Ringling Brothers Circus. After some help from the forum and some research, he discovered several photos of his jeep all dressed up as “Lilliput”.
“Original one sheet movie poster measuring approx. 27×41 inches. From the 1968 UA release of MASSACRE HARBOR. This is an original movie poster that would have been displayed by a theater. Not a reproduction. Folded as it came originally. This poster is in excellent unused condition. Photo is of the actual item listed. View my other items and combine shipping!”
“Military collection for sale or trade for nice CJ2a. Collection from WW1 through Cold War. Lots of stuff…let’s talk! Contact for more info e_a_weidner@yahoo.com”
I had some time this morning to do a few updates, but I have having a horrible time getting Craiglist ads to open. It seems Craigslist is having some DNS issues. Hopefully, this will be resolved later.

Chuck wrote me yesterday to share his good looking 1951 CJ-3A. He bought it last summer off of eWillys, choosing a 1951 jeep because that was the year he was born. The body, home built by the previous owner, is made from 3/16th steel. Chuck is currently rebuilding a Koenig hard top for it.
Chuck, thanks for sharing the pics. I look forward to seeing the top when you finish it!
“This is one of the better Willys still around & with some final touches it can become the best one. Due to the fact that the vehicle is a Recovered Theft from WA state it has a Salvage title. It looks like this unit has been restored, it comes with 350 Chevy engine, Edelbrock carburetor & 3 speed automatic transmission; runs & (lot) drives great! Mileage is exempt.”
“Small block Chevy. Short ratio shift. Headers. 4 barrel carb. hydrolic clutch. 4 wheel drive New seats. This jeep is crazy fast and about half dangerous, will only sell to a mature adult. NO KIDS.”
“Everything works tiptop! Ready to go hunting, fishing, camping, 4wheeling or just cruise around town. Will not leak on garage floor. 4 cyl., New transmission, Winch, Towbar, Softtop, Seats and Belts for 4”
