About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

I spotted this 1950 picture on the Buckles Blog, a blog that presents circus history from all over the world. I with this picture was bigger. According the blog post, “Here we see a Jeep with a power take-off in the process of raising the sides of each seat wagon. The outer corners were supported with long braces and then the front end of each vehicle would be lowered to form a grand stand.”
“Herewith we offer you a Very Rare and Hard to find, vintage mid to late `60ties produced Chinese Tin Wind-Up Toy Car, which was made after the famous Willys Jeep of WWII. This ad appeared in volume 2 No. 13 issue of Montana Sports Outdoors of Missoula, MT. The magazine includes a full page ad for an unusual ‘Jeep’ being endorsed by UNITED CATTLE COMPANY OF BIG SANDY. I can’t imagine this ad ran in too many magazines. The text of the ad notes that the cattle company was purchasing its 18th jeep.
(09/22/2012) This Old Jeep had a digital copy of this magazine article from Reader’s Digest January 1942. That site is now offline. Below is Page 1 of 3 pages.
(11/29/2012) Check out the driver’s side entrance. It’s looks to me like this has been trimmed back.
“All steel original body with new correct color Olive Green paint. New upholstery. New gas tank and fuel pump. All original 4 cylinder engine and running gear. 4 wheel drive. Freshly tuned, runs great. Has current title and license. Vin 389560.”
“What you are looking at is an original 1952 Willys M38 military Jeep. The Jeep has been redone and is in near perfect condition. It is all original with original 24 volt system. No bondo. All metal. Original bows and all. It could use new tires, but they are fine as is. It currently had coop grip spurs on the original Willys rims. Clear title. It is a hop in and go original piece of U.S. history. I am asking 13,500 OBO.
