Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I had some time this morning to do a few updates, but I have having a horrible time getting Craiglist ads to open. It seems Craigslist is having some DNS issues. Hopefully, this will be resolved later.

(07/13/2011) The fiberglass seats look from the 70s/80s.
“( No Winch ) ford 6 cyl ,35″ tires on 15″ rims, tow bar, have origenal wheels and tires witch are bald , new seat covers for the fiberglass seats.. have new custom footpedal assembly- needs installed , tilt coulum with new custom steering wheel- needs installed, wirring hooked back up and she ready to have fun.the ingine is practicaly new. also have painless wiring kit. call tony, if no awnser, leave message.. I drive truck. please be patiente and ill get back with you as soon as i can.”
The kids are in town for Christmas, so updates will be intermittent.
My sister forwarded this picture of her chickens celebrating the holidays.
Chuck wrote me yesterday to share his good looking 1951 CJ-3A. He bought it last summer off of eWillys, choosing a 1951 jeep because that was the year he was born. The body, home built by the previous owner, is made from 3/16th steel. Chuck is currently rebuilding a Koenig hard top for it.

Here’s a strangely modified M-38A1.
“This is one of the better Willys still around & with some final touches it can become the best one. Due to the fact that the vehicle is a Recovered Theft from WA state it has a Salvage title. It looks like this unit has been restored, it comes with 350 Chevy engine, Edelbrock carburetor & 3 speed automatic transmission; runs & (lot) drives great! Mileage is exempt.”

This may be a CJ-2A. Looks solid.
“Small block Chevy. Short ratio shift. Headers. 4 barrel carb. hydrolic clutch. 4 wheel drive New seats. This jeep is crazy fast and about half dangerous, will only sell to a mature adult. NO KIDS.”

Looks good, but has a l-head in stalled in it.

Comes already on a trailer, Gas tank will have to be replaced, Engine and welder was working
before it set for about 2 years. Will be sold as is but will make someone a nice welder, was
going to restore but have another Welder I am restoring now. All reasonable offers will be taken.”

This is likely a parts jeep.
“I have a TITLED 1945 willys jeep that someone was in the process of putting a chevy 350 in it. It consists of the tub, frame tow hitch, bumpers, a bunch of parts, a chevy 350 and tranny, and for the right price i have an original running Flathead 4 Cyl with the t-90 transmission and transfer case. so shoot me an offer. or im willing to throw in a completely rebuilt Polaris indy storm 800 triple. bith a brans new motor, track, skid, everything and custom paint for a ski doo or polaris 03 or newer snowmobile 144 track or longer i can send pictures of the sled. please email me for my number if you have an offer or just email me pictures and info. thank you!”
