Here’s an original press photo of Half-Safe landing in Shenya, AK, on July 9, 1957.
Talk about an extensive rebuild!

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500
Family owned since new. It doesn’t run. Not 100% original, but is worth a look.
“Original body and parts. Has tow bar and 285 lb steel weight front bumper. In same family since first bought. Currently not running so will need some work, but it’s a classic. 2500 OBO”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
It doesn’t run and looks pretty rough.
“I have a 48 willys jeep it has some kind of Gm 6 cylinder in it. Had it running last year but can’t seem to get it going this year. Needs some work for it to be safe to drive around on the streets. It is in pretty good shape for as old as it is. Don’t really wanna get rid of it but don’t have the money to fix it up.”
It’s a project.
“1947 willys project. All parts there except windshield. Frame and running gear in good shape runs great and 4wd works good. Has rancho lift. Comes with 2 tubs both need some work. One just needs the floors patched outside is fairly decent. Have rear body corners and rocker panels. Roll bar and seats. Would make a nice jeep with a little time. $1900 or trade for ford highboy or similar, atv, dirt bike. Let me know what you have.”
