About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This needs the brakes examined. It could use a repaint, too. Looks solid otherwise.

“This is a totally restored rust free 1946 Willys CJ-2A that runs great and is a blast to drive. (Sorry about the pictures but it started to snow). This vehicle sat around in a dry parts depot in Texas for about 50 years before it was purchased and restored by a car dealer in Houston about 4 years ago. I’ve driven it about 900 miles since it was completed-the mileage on the odometer is correct. It has the original chassis, drivetrain, body, tub, and seat frames. As you can see from the pictures, there is no rust anywhere.
The original engine was replaced with a 4 cylinder Ford OHC Pinto Engine. Top speed now is somewhere just north of 50 mph-going downhill with a tail wind :). It has the original three speed transmission with overdrive which makes driving on city streets much easier. I replaced all of the gages with NOS models that all are functional. Also added a new battery, electronic ignition and trailer hitch. The 35″ Super Swamper Tires have less than 1,000 miles on them. Never used the Ramsey winch or had the vehicle off road. We keep it at our cottage in Norther Michigan and just use it to drive around the country roads and run errands . . . View more on eBay”
Walter spotted this truck. It needs the engine reinstalled, but looks like it’s a good truck.
“1953 Willys Truck 95% restored: Tan interior, wooden bed, new paint. I have the motor and right fender, but I am currently involved in to many projects to finish at this time.”
(06/22/2012) It’s hard to tell much from the tiny pics.
“Good running flat head, four cyclinder factory motor. Complete Jeep is factory, except the top and door which we had custom made. Four wheel drive works like new. Body is in good shape as well as the seats. Have owned for about 15 years. Has been a super Jeep and did everything I wanted it to.

John took the time to scan the jeep related pictures from Bill Maudlin’s book “Up Front”. I’ve posted a couple below. You can see all of them on John’s Google Page. In 2010, the US Postal Service honored Bill with his own stamp.
