About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This jeep appears to have a replacement body. I like the hardtop/doors setup. I don’t recognize it.
“I have a 1953 Willys Jeep with a snow plow for sale. Fiberglass top, roll bar, lock out hubs, engine heater, 2000cc Ford motor. Three speed with high and low gears plus power take off. Used it this winter to push the snow”
John spotted this great deal. Note the ‘newer’ gauge cluster in the dash. Has toyota motor.
“1948 Willys CJ2A serial number 187738 with early Jeep-A-Trench option including a partial of the well pulling attachment to go with it. It also has a Sneker Snow plow mount (no blade).
The Good:
1) Jeep is incredibly solid top and bottom…. all hat channels are perfect and tool box is perfect.
2) trencher is complete and functioning
3) jeep has an original issued title that is clean (pretty cool as the vehicle type is listed as “ditch digger”
4) jeep has known history.
The Bad:
1) Although the body has no rust, it has had several mods. trimmed here, there, and everywhere.
2) non running Toyota engine installed (the rest of drive train is original)
Asking $1500″
This has an interesting history. I’m not sure how it ended up with a Nevada title though.
“I can’t find any information on this Jeep. It has the Willys Hurricane 2.2 L W/2 speed powerglide automatic. I purchased this jeep many years ago and was told by the previous owner that it was a security vehicle for the university of Washington. Body is great. It needs a total restore. All original except the seats. Has not been started in years. I was going to restore for my gran daughter . But ran out of energy. I don’t know the value of it, so i’m taking offers. Have clean Navada title.”
“Here ya go….. 1947 willys cJ2A. New fuel system, carb, brake system, cushions, two extra front seat frames, new battery, cables, lots of more stuff for it. Floor sealant and coating stuff, and a military star stencil kit! Asking $ 4,500 OBO”
“1964 Jeep Willy nicely done older restoration two wheel drive with a1990 4.0 fuel injected inline six .with a four speed auto transnission. restoration done about 20000 miles ago feels good to drive and runs 75+ mph .and is very dependable”
Base on the motor and the year, I suspect this is a CJ-3A with a 3B body.
“1950 Willys Jeep: Good bones minimal rust, mechanically sound with original engine however previous owners may have used expired poultry to apply top coat paint. If you are a latte drinking hipster lacking calluses on your hands this vehicle may not be for you. This vehicle is for the guy who has shotgun shells in his dungaree pockets, dirt under his finger nails and may associate the term drive through dinner to the bugs collected in his teeth in route to a destination.
New items include: tires, hoses, 12 v system, alternator, gages, seats, steering wheel w/integrated horn, exhaust, turn indicators, shocks, brakes, etc.”
(03/31/2014) This runs and drives and includes an overdrive.
“1948 Jeep Willys CJ2A. Buick engine, T90, T18, Warn overdrive. This jeep has not been fully restored so it’s not perfect, with that being said this jeep runs and drives. All the electrical works and it has an aftermarket heater. It’s very solid and can be put to use just the way it is or tear it down and do a full restore. Has a clean Oregon tittle with current tags. The only reason I’m selling it is to pay taxes that I was not expecting.”
