Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Buz found this photo from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He writes, “This is Poe Motor Company a Plymouth/Desoto dealer, the building still stands, maybe one day I can get a photo of my CJ3A in front of it, I believe the building is now a restaurant.” The Poe Motor Company name is painted across the windshield.
The second pillow case with a jeep in two days. These clearly weren’t one-offs. There must have been a basic pattern or some kind of history behind them.
“Up for bid is a Tennessee Army Maneuvers 1943 To My Wife Poem Pillow Cover Tank Jeep Cannon Eagle etc. Images and writing on the cover are raised felt like material. No stains, color variation in the photos is due to the flash hitting the folds and wrinkles. In very good condition for its age.”

Fine looking jeep as is, but looks restorable to stock as well.
“I have been working on this project since 2007. Original motor has been rebuilt and everything works excellent. Jeep has been sitting for past 4 years and is ready to go hunting. I have over $5,800 invested and would like to sell it to someone who appreciates this old Willy. Give me a call and you can come take a look.”

“600 miles since complete rebuild. Has jeep transfer and differentials. Many new and used parts extra for it. ( springs, heater, metal roof and doors, axles , differentials.”

“1942 Ford Jeep. Was running when stored 3 years ago. Hooked charger to battery and it turns over. Has canvas cover frame. Was used as a hunting rig. Has tow bar and wired in tow lights. Has one original metal rifle/machine gun scabbard next to seat.
Ready for restoration or some cleanup and work and great for hunting. Lost title but have signed State bill of sale.”
