This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (11/30/2011) “I have a very nice little Willys Jeep project that has little to no rust just minor little dings and one rear dent, comes with NOS windshield frame and rebuilt but used engine sitting in back. I have 85% of the Willys, no title but can get one for extra cash”
UPDATE: There was a report the museum might have closed, but Renee reports it is still open.
(Originally post was from 2010) In early 2000, Dean Kruse purchased the entire collection of a closed Belgium museum. On September 4, 2000, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new 192,000 square foot American Heritage Museum that would house the former Belgian collection on a site in Auburn, Indiana. The museum complex opened in early 2003, with the WWII Victory Museum housed in the south wing of the complex. Read the entire history here from cybermodeler. Gerard has put his beautiful CJ-3A up for sale. He’s done a great job of updating it, while keeping its classic lines.

Both body and frame were separated before reconditioning and in addition to sandblasting and painting, the frame was reinforced (semi-boxed), making it stronger than original. Most of the popular
modifications have already been made and due to the modern updates, this specialty vehicle can be
inexpensively maintained at any Chevrolet dealership or independent shop.
Unlike most 60 year old Jeeps, this vehicle is a joy to drive daily with modern engine functionality,
automatic transmission, and other updates. It drives perfectly straight with no steering wheel wobble or wonder, and the wider track makes it handle predictably, more like a modern 4×4. The driver and passenger are protected by a padded roll cage and held in place by through the seat 5-point racing harnesses. Jump seat for parcels only.

“Up for sale again, almost decided to keep it but now circumstances have changed. It’s a 1959 Willys with a 192 Perkins Diesel motor(RARE). Motor does smoke and needs a tune up but it does run. Drive train needs work as it will not shift into high range. Has tow bar and tows very well, body in great condition paint is in good shape.
