About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
I’m a little surprised the transfer case levers aren’t visible in the picture of the dash. Maybe they were shoved backward with the updated motor.
“cool 1948 CJ2A the first series of civilian jeeps, we have owned her for 20 year, was a daily driver, until we built a house and needed a pickup, so she was retired about 10 years ago, IT IS ON NON OP !! engine not running, probably from sitting , has original trans and transfer case, and has the f head engine , brakes still work, has some rust, but nothing that cant be fixed, must sell , asking $1200.00”
“Has some rust but not too bad for as old as it is. It would have been dust if it spent its life in Virginia. Could use a new tailgate because of rust. It has been in Texas since 1980 and california before that. Engine is a Chevy 350 and was a reman installed a few years ago. Has a Ford rear. Whats it need? A battery, rear wheel cylinders, master cylinder, and bled. Runs real strong, just wont stop. Hasn’t been driven much in years. Make an offer.”
“Have a 1942 Ford GPW (jeep) in totally restored condition. All original with matching numbers. Garage Kept. Must see!! Asking $18,000.00. Call Lee at (229) 251-3029.”
It hasn’t run in fifteen years and is missing parts and they want $2700? I know it has been hot down there, but really?
“1949 Willys Jeep, complete w/Texas title, last ran about 15 years ago.$2700
1947 Dodge M37 A1 Truck, complete w/Texas title, last ran with stuck valve 20 years ago.$2700”
“A great project, lots of potential.
Runs and drives, good tires, Kaiser motor, great for deer lease, off road, has tow bar if needed, removable hard top and spare tire rack.
$3500.00 or reasonable offers considered.”
Looks like the front frame rails have been patched? I can’t quite tell for sure.
“I’m selling my WWll Willys. I’m too old to drive it anymore. Only used in the Veterans day parade the last few years. The way you see it is the way I bought it. Numbers matching chassis with a new tub. Has G.I. tow bar and pintel hook. Reproduction .30 cal. machine gun with pedestal. Dash mounted rifle scabbard.”
Only habit is holding this body together. Still, for $350, there might be value.
“Up for sale is this Willys CJ-3A Jeep. I believe it is a 1952 based on my research on the serial number, but there is NO TITLE so I am not positive. This is a true barn find, actually the barn was much nicer than the Willys (lol). It is complete but in very poor condition. The hood and grille are the only body pieces that are in decent condition, the body tub and cab are rotted. The flat head engine is seized because whoever stopped working on the engine 30 odd years ago left three of the four spark plugs out. The transmission goes into all gears and the thing rolls so the differentials are free too. I am guessing that the transmission, transfer case, drive shafts and differentials are all serviceable with some refreshment (new fluids, grease, seals and such). There is no tailgate. The frame is rusty too and may be too weak to be usable. Basically what you see is what yu get. This is a perfect parts vehicle for your project as it is completely intact and all of the little parts that nickel and dime you are here. The only obvious things missing are the seats, the passenger seat was gone when I found it and I am keeping the driver’s frame for my project.
Do not e-mail or text me, I will not respond. Do it the old fashioned way, talk to me! Call Gary at 440-728-0057 BETWEEN 3 pm to 11:30 pm ONLY. Thanks for looking, good luck in your search.”
