Here’s a rare jeep-train photo Marc forwarded. I’ll see if I can find more info about this. We stopped near here during our stay in Mackinaw City, MI in May.
1945 Photo from Kunming, China on eBay
Marc spotted this neat photo. It’s a reprint.
“On 12 January 1945, the first convoy of 113 vehicles, led by General Pick, departed from Ledo; they reached Kunming, China on 4 February 1945 :: 12.6 x 17.4 cm (approximately 5.0 x 6.8 inches).”
1942 Photo of Willys Overland Assembly Line on eBay
Here’s a good look at some chassis assembly.
“This is an original press photo. Photo measures 9 x 7.25inches. Photo is dated 06-20-1942.”
1958 DJ-3A North Palm Beach, FL **SOLD**
UPDATE:Was $3250. **SOLD**
(01/03/2014) Brad’s selling this nice looking DJ-3A at a good price. The only minor issue I see is the modified steps, but those could be repaired over time.
“Willys DJ-3A, Survivor, 2WD, 1958 Flat Fender Dispatch Jeep 4×2, Mostly Restored with rebuilt engine & transmission. Other items; new Best Top, brakes, radiator, elec cooling fan, rebuilt steering box & carb. Runs needs some TLC.”
1947 CJ-2A Cushing, TX **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
Runs, but no title.
“1947 Jeep Willys was being build for a mud race truck, but don’t have time for it anymore. Asking $2000 or will take best offer. Runs, no title bill of sale only, Tires do hold air would be Great for Deer lease hunting buggy. ”
1947 CJ-2A Chickamauga, GA **SOLD**
UPDATE: Was $2500. **SOLD**
Runs and drives.
“This is a 1947 Willys CJ2A. It is running and driving. The distributor is totally worn out and we plan to replace it when the new one we have on order shows up. The steering is pretty worn like most of these are. It has been sitting for a while and the brakes will most likely need bleeding. It will need a 12 volt battery and fresh gas. The 4×4 works fine and the motor holds 30 to 40 psi oil pressure. It has been patched here and there on the body but looks pretty decent.
We are not interested in trading for cars, trucks, livestock, Boats, or ATVs. I will consider other willys jeeps. Bring cash and the jeep will come with a bill of sale.”
1952 M-38 Hillsboro, NH **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $15,000
Bill’s willing to sell his jeep for the right offer.
“I am thinking about selling my 1952 willys m38 and just want to see what interest is out there for it. It is a good running driving jeep. The engine has less than 1000 miles since it was rebuilt last spring. It is still 24 volt. Everything but the fuel gauge works. Tires are also new with about 1000 miles on them. The paint is not perfect but good for a driver jeep. I would be looking for $15,000 or best reasonable offer on this jeep. You could not build one for less. The photos show a winch on it, the winch would not be included with the sale. It is painted the original USAF strata blue. The trailer pictured as already been sold.”
1949 Wagon Melissa, TX $2500
I doubt this runs, but the body appears solid. No description provided.
1956 Custom Wagon Deerfield Beach, Fl **SOLD*
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8200. Check out near identical wagon that’s a 1957.
(06/12/2012) The seller believes this might be a Traveller, but Dan points out the following:
1. It’s a ’56 and Travellers were made 1960-1964 (to the best of his knowledge).
2. It has the polygon rear fender openings of a wagon, not the curved of a Delviery that Travellers and Parkways were made from.
3. It has the low roof, not the high roof.
