About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Runs and drives well, never been registered in California, I have the pink slip from Hawaii, needs restoration, windshield is cracked, has a 2.0 OHC Ford engine, 4 speed std transm, 4WD, power steering,”
This appears solid, but has had some body work done.
“I have a clea jeep running driving clean title almost all original except for tires and wheels and seats. I have the full enclosure almost new. has complete original running gear. I drive it regularly. there is one issue and it is that the starter acts uo here and there. I also have the rear mount pto setup for it. not installed yet. just takes a couple bolts. ready to drive clear title in my name.”
“1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep body. This ad is for the body only, tub, windshield (glass still good), grill, tailgate, fenders, and hood.
Is it rusted? Yep. Is it a semi-hack job? Yep. Is it worth $300? Yep.
It can be salvaged if you want to save it, too much work for me. Or you can slap it on your running gear and wheel the dog snot out of it.
Again, just in case there is any confusion, ONLY the body is for sale, and the price is $300. If you can’t afford it I understand, just don’t waste my time with lowball offers.”
Needs work. Check out the tire size differences on the rear.
“I have a 1948 willys jeep mud toy. “I have a real nice jeep just to busy to restore it. It has very little rust out on it just one spot about a quarter in size. The engine supposedly runs when we bought it. We have never tried to fire it but the older gentleman we bought it from said he started it weekly. The oil in it was very clean and turns over. It was originally a 24 volt system but now a 12 volt. I have never tried firing it as I have been to busy. This vehicle will make an awesome dunes vehicle as its a real nice jeep that is a long wheel base. It can hold 2 or 3 rows of seating so a large family could use it or lots of storage room. It was originally an ambulance then radio jeep for the USN as its longer wheel base. It needs a good home that will either restore it back original or turn it into a jeep for a family fun. I have 5 projects ahead of it currently so it would be a few years for me to get to it so my lose is your gain. This jeep is so nice I wish I had the time to put into it but my other military vehicles are first. I have 2 spare rims for it also and a military pintle. The tires on it where the ones it came with but have swapped them for non flat ones.”
“This is a barn yard find. Jeep is a 1953 Willy’s. Factory paint blue with white pin stripes . Everything is there, original motor, it does look like someone rewired and converted to 12 volt system but i am not for sure.
I assume it wouldnt take much if anything to get running. original seats, body is pretty solid, slight damage to rear drivers tub but nothing major. Locking front hubs, looks like a Dana 44 rear. I don’t have the keys. Clean title. 1600.00 cash l”
