This is a project and is a mix of makes. The roll cage is not longer with the jeep.
“1948 Jeep CJ2-A (Project)
Jeep does not currently run. Jeep was a project that I started and am unable to complete.
All original body panels are there. Has the original stamped “Willys” hood, windshield, and tailgate.
The frame and body are about the only thing left stock.
The axles are from a Toyota 4Runner (Front and Rear)
Newer springs, approximately a 6″ lift.
Have the drive train out of a 1997 S-10 (engine, transmission, and transfer case)
Engine: 4.3 V-6 (approx. 90,000 miles)
Transmission: Automatic 4-speed (approx. 1,000 miles)
Engine, transmission, and transfer case are not currently mounted in the Jeep.
Jeep is pretty much the body mounted to the frame. Everything else had been removed.
Also have the following items:
Complete engine harness for the 4.3 V-6.
Steering column from the 97 S-10.
Brake booster from the 97 S-10.
Two sets of wheels: Chromed steel wheels that are mounted on the Jeep and a new set of 6-Hole Eagle aluminum alloys.”
It’s a project, but it there might be some value here.

“Frame off restoration on a 49 cj3a. less than 300 miles on this jeep since completion. New springs and shackles, professional bikini top and seats and more. If I couldn’t rebuild it I replaced it. L134 engine was professionally rebuilt. Every thing was sandblasted and coated with rust prevention before painting. Will also come with an extra running L134 engine and an other parts engine plus a plethora of extra body and drive train parts. This is a personal restoration so the body work and paint job are not professional an that’s why I am not asking 10 to 15 grand for it. Extra parts include a rebuilt dana 41 rear end, cj2a wind shield, hood, gas tank starter and generators, seat springs.
Will sell willys for $5500 alone.”
Extreme Terrain is sponsoring a unique contest. One lucky winner (editors note — hoping it is me) will win 3 all expenses paid jeep trips to 3 different locations:
Moab, UT // Rubicon Trail, CA // Ouray, CO
You and one friend will be flown to each location for a weekend long off-roading adventure that includes hotel and travel. Don’t miss your chance to explore some of the most well-known Jeep locations on the map! The drawing will be held in January. The contest ends January 21, 2014.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000
This looks good. The Seats don’t look original. The mileage is supposed to be only 17,000 miles.
“For sale is a 1946 willys with 17k original miles. Jeep is all original and runs and drives, 3 speed trans. Hard top included with sale,”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $3000.
Looks like a great price!
“100% stock except steering linkage has been updated and windshield replaced
6 volt – 4 cyl. Starts right up and runs great”
This looks nice. The drain holes appear filled. The grille looks later than a ’46 and the windshield frame might be aftermarket or modified.
