Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This appears to have early CJ-2A tags on the dash. So, there might be some 2A on the jeep as well. The front bumper has been shortened.

Serial number 512. It’s a very VEC.
“45′ Cj-2a Very early production! Serial number 512. Jeep if pretty complete, runs, and a great restoration candidate. This is the most collectible model with tool indents and full floater rear axle. Has full set of original data plates on the dash.
Very nice front gussetts and original bumper.”

It’s rough, but there’s lot of parts there for an VEC rebuild.
“1946 Willys CJ-2a Column shift jeep…. Serial #12172 makes it the 2172 jeep off the assembly line. Rare Early features like drivers side tool indents and full floating rear axle..
Data plates are intact and nice shape! Frame and front bumper is overall good, but the body is pretty bad.
Original square rivet windshield.
Floor shift transmission, but I am including the correct side shift case! Engine runs, need to check the serial #
Great candidate for full restoration, as these VEP column shift jeeps are hard to find, and very collectible!

This might make a good parade jeep. I’m not sure why the gas inlet has been altered.

“This is a m274 mule, it was made by willys. It has a NOS(new old stock) 2 cylinder engine with only 16 hours on it. It runs like new, cause it is. It has 4 wheel steering and a light weight magnesium deck. It has electric starter, battery and alt, to run lights(forward and rear) and 12 volt car charger(to charge gps or phone). Im using a 50cal waterproof box to house the starting key, light switches, and 12 volt charger.Mules only came with one drivers seat so I added a second seat and basket. Both seats are adjustable and have new fabric on them. Brand new tires, new stainless steel gas tank. This mule is in great shape, I built it for myself to keep, but I’m moving and have no safe place to keep it. There are not many of these machines left, and they continue to increase there value every year.”
The most unexpected part of this jeep might be the Hawaiian license plates.
