This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This image was posted a few days ago by Dwayne Brown. I am guessing the the back bed is a modified wagon back? It reminds me a little of the “Tender” wagons. Looks like a great rig!

This unusual ad appears to include an M-38A1. It also shows a CJ-3B, but not a CJ-3A, so my guess is 1953.

John spotted some vintage jeep/willys model kits at the Old Model Kits website. They seem cheaper than you’ll find on eBay.

“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2. Super clean for comparisons I have seen. Pinto motor transplant. Original flat head and other parts included in pictures go with the sale of jeep. Selling for my best friends wife. He passed away 4 years ago and it sat since then. She is ready for someone to finish the final touches for parades or whatever fun it will bring. I put in new battery, tubes in 2 tires and new distributor, plugs, and a couple other odds and ends to get the lil beast breathing again. Jeep runs, drives, stops, 4wd works, winch works, it is street legal with title ready to transfer to you. Reasonable cash in hand offers will be saved for consideration later if not sold for asking price. Reminder there are extras including axles, transfer, transmission, and flat head motor.”

“1947 CJ-2A Ready to go together. If you know what your looking at your the person to put this back on the road. 1943 chain drive L134 was running and driving and mounted on the chassis. Discovered a crack in the block. Engine was rebuilt with .30 over and running before discovery. I have too many projects for the amount of time I need to finish. This 75 year old warrior comes with a title. If it’s listed it’s available. I won’t answer is it available”

“Pretty clean for it’s age 1948 Willis with Title. Been sitting at the deer lease and has not run in few years. Will need a little love , but it is all there. All gears and transfer case feel good. Good tires and working locking hubs. HAS TITLE . Have owned for 25 or so years.”
