About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
UPDATE: Back in May of 2011 Mike forwarded me the below ad. This morning Craig pointed out that Dan over at Hemmings did a nice article about the stainless bodies along with the seller of these kits.
The buyer apparently bought out a stainless supplier in the Philippines. Call the seller for more info.
Glen pointed me to an intersting post at the OldWillysForum. The post is a link to a list of detailed specs for a 1957 Willys Utility Truck that John found on eBay. It’s pretty cool. Here is an example of one spec:
“1942model Wyllis CJ2A jeep. Needs paint, brake lines and fuel tank. Engine and transmission are good. Runs smooth. $1,500 or will consider trade for a good, used 4 wheeler.”
There has been some body work done at the step area.

“1943 Ford GPW WWII Army Jeep. V-6, new 3 speed tranny and transfer case, runs and drives great. Lots of $$ invested. $5950. Reply to ad or call 505-975-1900.”
“Completely rewired with an Enos wiring kit, batt relocated in the rear, great bucket seats up front with driver seat adjustable so any size person can drive comfortably (I’m a big guy)
a custom rear bench seat with 3 sets of lap belts for the Grand kids. Given Corvette chromium yellow paint, a black and white striped bikini top this little jeep has a show stopper attitude. In 6 years since this project was completed. I have put exactly 512 miles on it. All hauling kids over to 7-11 for slurpees – well its not far to 7-11.
Always garage kept and never once yet taken off road, that ‘s why it looks the way it does today.
If you don’t want to have people point and stare this is not for you. This jeep draws as much attentionas my street rods. Its so sweet the kids used it to pulled the Bonanza High School freshman float at their homecoming this year. I want to go off roading with my son and his rock crawler. It would be a sin to cut this up into a rock crawler.
Jeep 51 Willys totally stock running gear completely rebuilt and replaced from the pressure plate to the tips of the new Warn hubs. 3 Speed T-90 transmission, T-18 transfer case and both Dana 44 axles have been completely gone through and rebuilt with new bearings and seal. 11″ brakes were added and fireawall mounted brake pedal new gas tank and gauges. I have $4000 worth of receipts from Back Country Products for the running gear rebuild. The motor is a 1955 Corvette 265 small block Chervy – very rare only 700 Corvettes built in 1955.
Lot of notalgia with this one. Edellbrock 650 4BBl carberator with automatic choke, Malloy coil and distrilbutor, this thing starts quick and purrs like a kitten. This motor NEVER HEATS UP even in our hottest weather, wish I could say that of the street rods I have builts.Serious person can call Brian 714-608-2330”
