About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Ann bought me this M&M Jeep from the M&M store when we were at Times Square (the last one there). While a cool little toy, it seemed a bit overpriced until I spotted the same toy at Amazon.com for TWICE the retail price! http://www.amazon.com/Military-Vehicle-Candy-Dispenser-Jeep/dp/B002XOBIWU
“Been researching tires for my Dad’s CJ3A restoration project lately. The closest thing I’ve found to a mid-sixties style mud tire that he want’s to use is a Deestone D503. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this tire (7.00 x 15), or perhaps has a more economical or even modern tire with similar tread characteristics. For our purposes with this jeep, visual is as important as off road performance. Oh, price is a consideration too. These retail for around $130-145, plus tubes, mounting, shipping, etc etc. One issue I’m having with this tire at the moment is the diameter. 29.8″ versus the 26 or 27″ it’ll replace. I’m ok with slightly larger, but I worry about getting too big.”
The VIN of 151899 and the year of 1946 don’t quite match.
“I have for sale a 1946 Willys Jeep. It runs well and has had a recent engine rebuild. The engine is not original to the Jeep. Frame tag is missing. Also needs glass for the windshield, which is a new repro unit. Jeep has a factory PTO in the rear. Included is an extra frame and running gear/engine for spare parts. Please ask for any additional info if you need it.”
“I have a set of good year terra tires size 31×15.5 x 15 they are on 12″ wheels with a six lug pattern and will fit toyotas and chevys if interested call me at 425-422-2449 and we can meet up”
“I have a 1953 m38a1c the rare recoiless rifle version that I would like to trade for a cj2a, cj3a or b, m38, or an older cj5 with title. This jeep is in parts and does not have a title but a bill of sale, is the only paperwork that will accompany the jeep. The jeep does have most of the parts, and all the data plates. There is no rifle with this but parts are there, including the rare split windshield. I Will only trade for what is listed above, and only if it has title, and If i do not get any offers then I will get title and restore myself. Series offers only. Jeep will need to be restored.”
It starts and runs fine, it does leak oil, brakes are fine (took forever to get those right) tires are good, etc. The oil leakage is somewhat minor, just needs some TLC and maybe a gasket kit. The windshield has cracks from being dropped when lowered.
These jeeps are quickly becoming unavailable due to rust, and people just scrapping them or not letting them go. This one is still in decent shape and mostly original.
The jeep is in the Alamo Heights area and I would be glad to show it, just let me know when you want to see it. Please reply to the link in the advertisement.”
“For sale is a TigerTop and soft doors, white in color. Top and doors have NO rips, holes or cracks. Near new and never used, just a little dusty/dirty. All hardware is included such as the header, door brackets, button screws and braces. Everything is there to install it. This top will fit 41-45 MB, 41-45 GPW, 46-49 CJ-2A. This top was going to go on my 48 Willys Jeep, but plans changed.”
“This Jeep is in great shape for its age. Motor has been completely rebuilt with all maintenance records to show it. Runs and drive great. All original body. Comes with spare tire and original gas cans. Fold down windshield. 3 spd w/ high/low. 4wd works great. Has been converted to 12 volt.We still have all parts to convert back to 6 volt if wanted. Also has an electric fuel pump. Hard to find classic. This thing is just flat out cool. Call or text me if interested. I don’t want to deal with email because all of the scammers and no I do not need help selling this vehicle. If you need more pics let me know when I took these the sun was glaring pretty bad.
Thanks, Evan 706-978-9300 ”
