(06/09/2013) This sits on a Suzuki drive train. Unclear why the center console appears unfinished.

On another note, this seller also included a picture in the ad of his completed drag M-38 jeep. This one is NOT for sale.
We are spending the evening with Ann’s family in Monroe and then traveling back to Pasco on Sunday, so no updates until Monday morning. I’ll be out of email reach for most of that time.

Charles shared these pictures from the Overloon Liberty Park Museum in Netherlands. The park contains over 150 vehicles and looks to consist of several different museums. You can see the museum’s location on this map. Many more photos of the museum are viewable through google images.
Marc spotted these great negatives showing the Borrego Desert in California.

“Our dear Grandma Dolores kept everything!
Here, as found in her home is a vintage photograph of a demolished jeep. There is no writing with the exception of the stamp on the back which reads:
“FFC-51-10109 31 MARCH 51
Demolished Jeep:
The Jeep of BB Commander LT Col Elmer Owens, 24th line div, which had been blown up by hitting a road mine in front of a tank of the 5th rct, 24th line div during offensive action in Korea. LT Col Owens receives first aid at right.

Dolores’s husband was a US army photographer stationed in Tokyo, Japan during the Korean War. We will be listing many of the items and photographs he brought back, including photos he took while training.”

“Very good condition, engine runs, transmission and transfer case is tight as a new one. Has new top and seat covers, ignition switch, gas tank with new float, sending unit with filter. Needs new tires, master cylinder and water pump rebuilt, breather rubber hose, vacuum lines from intake to fuel pump”
