Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I will be in Seattle for a week or more at the end of July, beginning of August. I’m pulling Biscuit’s engine and replacing the TH350 tranny for a T-18 (still have to locate that). I’ll also be dropping by the Northwest FC Get Together in Tacoma in early August.
On my way to Seattle, I was hoping to drop by the MVPA’s international convention in Portland (July 25-27th), but now am not sure whether I’ll have the time or not. Anyone going to that?
I’m guessing this is most likely a CJ-2A, but I can’t tell for sure. Auction is Saturday, July 20.

Here’s a nice looking service jeep created from a MB or GPW.
Mark spotted this unique jeep in a gift shop in Sparta, Ontario, Canada. He also spotted the motorcycle.
He writes, “These are hand made displays. I thought that they were very interesting. However, priced between $50.00 & $100.00, I declined my temptations. I felt that the money would be better spent on maintaining my jeep.”
