Charles forwarded these photos. The first one shows the former queen BEATRIX of the netherlands ( who just passed the crown to her son a few weeks ago).
Photo of 36th Infantry with Wounded Prisoner on eBay
Marc spotted this on eBay. The auction ended, but I’m sure the seller will be happy to sell it. Note the muffler winding under the front frame rails.
“Hi, and welcome! Thanks for stopping by. You are looking at a 5×7 photograph printed on FujiFilm Crystal Archive emulsion paper depicting one of the first American Jeeps to penetrate into Germany during World War II. Driving the Jeep is T/5 Charles D. Hiller of East Syracuse, New York. Sitting next to him is a Belgian patriot in an American uniform, holding an M1 Garand. His name was Henri Souvee of Liege, Belgium. The photo was taken in Roetgen, Germany on September 10, 1944.”
Belgium Resistance Photo on eBay
The bidding on this ended, but I’m sure it will get relisted.

1961 FC-170 Easton, MD **SOLD**
(06/12/09) The seller is kicking himself that he left this truck outside, which resulted in some surface rust.
“All original with bed and tailgate. 4WD with WARN hubs and overdrive. Never wrecked or rusty. Engine has 100 hours on rebuild. Drove it this morning, but needs brake fluid and TLC. I bought it 23 years ago in Calif. desert and has been inside here in MD for 10 years.”
1946 CJ-2A/MB Skiatook, OK $3200
This looks to be a CJ-2A column shift drivetrain topped with a MB/GPW body. I suspect the drain holes were added later. The front bumper is odd.
“1946 WILLYS CJ2A, VIN NO. CJ2A30868A, this is an early column shift, it has what appears to be a WWII composite body, a jeep guy told me that he thought they used left over WWII jeep body parts on very early CJs. It could be, as it has the CJ factory drain holes in the sides, the glove box opening shows no lid or box ever being installed, the rear tool boxes show no signs of ever having a lid installed. Maybe someone can verify that information.
The previous owner stated the engine was rebuilt, it starts quick, runs smooth and does not smoke and has 25-30 psi oil pressure.
Has been changed over to 12 volt electrics with alternator, windshield wiper, turn signals, stop lights, headlights, electric fuel pump.
Starts, drives and stops, new gas tank, 4 wheel drive works good, transmission works, but nosy in 1st and reverse and sometimes hard to shift (you can’t shift fast), second and third is quiet and shifts smooth, steering is tight and holds good running down the road, did not jump out of second, suspension is pretty quiet and it has like new tires that are balanced. Roll bar is bolted on, so removing would be easy. It has indoor carpet, but appears to have no rust through.
Just registered (has black sticker which means it has no liability ins.) and new correct title will be in this week.
It is ready to go play and not worry about messing up the rattle can paint job (so it would be one color, not several). The seats are after market, but easier to get in/out and have more belly room.”
2 Wagons, 1 Truck, and Parts Superior, MI
Mark listed these wagons and parts over at jeeptruck.com
“I have 2 1950’s Willys wagons and 1 1950 Willys 4×4 truck that I want to sell with many extra parts and glass. Please let me know if we may have some interest in the items. I also have a 1951 Henry J that was stored in a airplane hanger since 1963. You can call me at 218-591-9883. Located in Superior, WI. I have people interested, but need to move this stuff to finish a new garage and down size on vehicles. Prices will be negotiable and one wagon was disassembled, sandblasted and primered. All of the parts that go with that wagon, that was going to be restored are also blasted and primered.”
