“For sale is my 1951 Willys Jeep. I have had it for about 4 years and although it is now running, I have run out of money and time to finish the work so my loss is your gain. I am not certain of the value of this vehicle, but after research, the price seems fair.
This was purchased from a family who owned it for many years. They used it as a hunting/4 wheel adventure vehicle in Colorado since the early 70s. They lived in the Ardmore area. The Jeep had not run for many years when I bought it, but some small work and the engine fired up.
Everything seems original except the wheels, tires and paint. I have the original spare and gas tank, as well as the original wiper parts. The seats are in great shape. There is a crack in the windshield. The other owner added the roll bar (see pics). It can be removed easily. The Jeep has almost no real rust. The tool box under the passenger seat is rusted out (typical) and there is a little spot of rust in the drivers side floor pan. The great thing about these, if you are not familiar, is they are highly collectable so parts are easy to find. Either new or refurbished.
The engine is the original 4 cyl Willys engine. The snorkel is not attached or included.
This Jeep will run, but smokes a little. It will roll, but not drive. I don’t want to sell it, but simply must for the money. I planned on using it for my hunting trips.
I have…
Cleaned the gas tank.
Ripped the plywood flooring and carpet out (yes, they put plywood under the carpet.)
Rebuilt the original single barrel carb
Replaced small parts such as fuel filter, etc.
What I know is wrong…
It has some bad seals, etc., but the main problem I know if is the shifter does not move in the tranny. Not sure, but assume the tranny is frozen/rusted. The brakes, etc., will all need to be worked on.”
There appears to be value here.

Rich spotted and snagged a clip of a “Follow Me” jeep from the James Bond Movie “Gold Finger”. It sure looks like that’s a M-38.
Here are a series of three wagon related photos for sale on eBay. I don’t recognize where the first photo was taken. Anyone else know?

Here’s another great photo. This time it is a CJ-2A next to a Saguaro Cactus likely in Arizona.
Marc spotted this photo of a man crossing a bridge in his CJ-3B. I think I’d have to look hard underneath that bridge before driving across.
