About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

(05/31/2011) It looks like the seller has listed the engine number as the VIN.
“12 volt conversion. Runs great. Original engine and air/oil filters. Has original factory installed live PTO option to run brush hog, sprayer, or water pump which is RARE! The flathead runs great and strong, the transmission shifts like new. Underneath this jeep is super solid, all crossmembers are solid and nice, the underside of the pan is very very nice. This was not a pan off but somewhere in it’s past I do believe it was–it definitely was babied. I did some basic maintenance to it, (oil, brakes, carb adjustment, etc) and proceded to make a jeep that was one to be used. I wanted something I could drive in a parade and then run to my favorite fishing hole in, not a show queen. The fact that this had the PTO just made it that much more special for me. This really is a great jeep and super nice driver. Has 16″ rims and tires have great tread, but do have some age cracks in them, nothing major just figured you should know.”

“I bought this jeep for a project…… But i just don’t have the time. Trades welcome small gas welder or tell me what you have. ( OR COME LOOK AND MAKE A RESONABLE OFFER) This Jeep is all original . The flat head engin needs gone through & didn’t have gas tank or seat’s, other than that it’s a fun project and now it’s in my way in the shop.”
Dan forwarded me some pics of his new tires from TDS. He notes these are particularly appropriate for this jeep, because all his grandfather bought for it were retreads. Dan did note how surprised he was at how difficult finding retreads was, especially since they are supposed to be so environmentally friendly.
“Here is my jeep with five new re-tread tires. I cleaned and painted the wheels too. The tires are 215/85R16 all terrain by TDS in Spokane. That was about the smallest radial I could find and the widest tire that would fit on the old 16×4.5 rims. My only other option was to go with a bias-ply and tubes. I saved about $340 by going with re-treads vs the cost of new. I think that they are the perfect height and width for what I was wanting.”
“It is pretty complete with a 226 6 cyl 4×4 with hospital rear doors. Was a motor pool gov truck (has a plaque on the glove box). Would be a good restoration candidate or a super parts truck. Not running, however motor willy freely spin by hand. It has no title.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500. Could have been an APU.
“I am posting this running and driving 1952 Willys Jeep for a friend. This is just sitting around and there is some one out there that will enjoy this more than he can. This is a nice candidate for a restoration or just a driver as most every thing is still intact. Has origonal flat head 4 cyclinder motor that has been gone through. This was used as a plow vehicle before he bought a new tractor. The blade is gone now as it was sold ,but the 4×4 works and there is also a heavy duty winch still intact. Would like $2,500 obo.”
