About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(02/17/2013) This runs and drives. The drain holes have been filled.

Leslie forwarded this story from the New York Times. In 2010 Mount Merapi in central Java, Indonesia, erupted killing 300 people. Following the eruption, visitors arrived to check out the damage. An enterprising man named Christian Ignasius bought a CJ-2A to provide tours of the area. That little operation has grown into enough jeeps and guides to serve one thousand tourists a month.
While looking for something else I ran across this Sedan-modified jeep at Bangshift. According to the article, someone combined a Renault 4L with a MB or GPW. I can’t find any clues as to which jeep was used.

It looks like some nice work went into this restoration.
“1953 Willys Jeep restored 10 years ago, rare of a kind civilian model, CJ3B with canvas. Jeep has original working heat, lights, rare seperate guages. I also have doors, original wheels, like new running condition. Will sacrifice for $10, 500. Will consider trade for nice late model Harley. CALL DAN 239-571-80 one two”
This body appears rough in the pictures. The rear bumper and lights aren’t original.
“Original CJ-3A, 12V system with 9500 lbs winch, new springs & shocks, new original guages, new top, new windshield, new windshield wiper motors, and new spare tire. Mechanically sound, body needs work.”
“I have a 1943 Ford GPW Jeep. Just like a Willys MB but built by Ford. Original with all its correct Ford stamped parts. Correct seats, handles, brackets everything. Way too much to list. Has 5 restored Combat wheels with new tires included. Boxes and boxes of parts and spares. Numbers matching frame and data plate. Non matching but correct GPW motor currently apart for rebuild. Has later willys motor too. Decent body with a little rust and a hole cut for a 2a gas tank. Have correct gas tank now. Lots of parts have been collected for this restoration. Good frame. Rolling chassis with body still mounted. Nearly $2000 spent on wheels and tires already, just to give you an idea this in not a pile of junk.”
