(07/31/2013) From the grille, to the body, to the rear shock mount, this looks more like a MB/GPW than a M-38.
“For your consideration is a cleanly & near fully restored 1951 Willys M38 Jeep custom. Appropriately nicknamed “Killer Bee” (it has 3 hand painted Custom logos); this project began as a repair, and with time gradually ended up becoming a Top-down Custom Restoration project.
The Jeep:
The Body is Yellow, Heavy Textured Rhino Lining. The Top is a custom made aluminum Hard Top with three windows and Black, Medium Textured Rhino Lining.
The Doors are hard removable, have sliding windows and are Black, Medium Textured Rhino Lining.
The Interior is Black, Medium Textured Rhino Lining. Military Jeep seats w/ rear jump seat have all been reupholstered. 6 point roll bar, CB radio, Stereo w/2 speakers, Custom Carbon Fiber Instrument panel with matching gauges. (Speedometer, Tachometer, Oil pressure, Coolant Temperature, Voltmeter, Fuel Level, Vacuum gauges). The whole vehicle has been completely rewired and a current style fuse box installed.
The Drivetrain: The Engine is a 1965 Ford 289 (1966 Timing cover and water pump); The Transmission is a 1966 Ford C4; The Transfer Case is 1951 Willys T18, The Differentials are Dana 27 with 5.38:1 Gears, The Front Diff is closed knuckle with DUALMATIC twin cam manual locking hubs, and the Rear Diff is Full Floating with 11X2 inch Drum.
The Engine has been completely rebuilt; Balanced rotating assembly with new Balancer and Flex Plate. Pistons are 9.3:1 .030 over SpeedPro with Teflon coated skirts, Aluminum Heads have 200cc intake runner and 60cc chambers, (Valves are one piece forged PBM ERSON EV-8 stainless steel 2.02 / 1.600, Bronze valve guides, Chrome Moly PBM Retainers and Keepers, Erson Springs good for .550 LIFT, 7/16 ARP screw in studs and Guide plates, and ARP Head Bolds), Double Roller Timing Chain, 5/16 Hardened Push Rods, SpeedPro Camshaft 214/224 with .472/.496 lift, Erson Forged 1.6 Aluminum Roller Rockers with needle bearing fulcrum), Aluminum Intake, Holley Street Avenger 570 CFM Carburetor, GM HEI Distributor, GM Delco Remy Alternator and a new Starter.
All parts are new as you would expect from a resto-rebuild. . . i.e. water pump, thermostat, fuel pump, oil pump, oil pump drive, hoses, plugs, plug wires etc.
New Brakes, front Disk Brake Conversion, new calipers, rotors, pads, brakes lines master cylinder, power booster, rear shoes with reconditioned drums, dual exhaust, 2.25 inch through Magnaflow mufflers.
This truck is sitting on Rancho 2.5 in lift spring, the springs have been moved to on top of the axles, riding on 33X12.5 15s tires (with more than 90% life remaining).

This needed a battery at the very least. The seller needs to sell quickly. It includes a warn winch.
