Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900.
(12/04/2012) This is a 1947 CJ-2A with the “Go-Devil” L4-134 engine. It was a project, but I ran out of time and money.
The engine is fully rebuilt and bored .080 over. The head was milled and the block was checked for cracks. Crankshaft was machined .030 under. It has new valves, guides, and hardened seats to run on unleaded gas. New rings, bearings, gaskets, seals, oil pump and more.
The Jeep has the tub, aluminum gas tank, radiator, intake and exhaust manifolds, and drivetrain. This would make a good project.”
