About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
You can’t beat the price. I’m sure there is $70 worth of value somewhere.
“I have a 1951 willys jeep cj3a; Roller ( frame , leaf spring, axles, and body ); no floor good project; will trade for something , tell me what you have; call or TEXT 601 668 5181.”
This looks good, though there is still some work to be done on it. It does include a rebuilt motor that you can hear run.
“Great piece of history in the offering here! This is a 1947 original Willys CJ2A Jeep. The engine is a Willys “Industrial” engine that has been rebuilt (.030″ over) and hasn’t even been broken in yet – maybe 1 mile on it! Has a T90 transmission, with a Dana 18 transfer case that has been gone through and checks out. Gets its’ fuel through a Solex carb and has been converted to 12 volts. Frame and body has been Jasco’d and painted to the correct color of OD green. Has a poly fuel tank and 16″ military tires. This Jeep has no markings yet so you can put your favorite unit designation on it. We tackled this project with the idea to make it a “driver” and to participate in parades and other public events. Being a Jeep, you could use it for whatever your offroad needs might be. This is not a full resto, as the body still shows some “character” which would lend itself to re-enactments or other types of “movie” work. To get this buggy up to speed you will need to wire in new lights and the brakes need to be finished – there are none! The carb could use a cleanup and rebuild, and the motor needs to be broken in per spec. There is also a crack in the passenger side windshield. Surprise of surprises though, we have a clear blue Texas title for this Jeep so it is easily registered and could be inspected for road use.
“You are bidding on a great restoration project. I am thinning my collection because I have a few other rare vehicles that I’m in the process of restoring so some toys must go. This is a 42 slat grill that is very restorable. Original hood numbers can be seen. It does have rust in the usual places such as front floors, fuel tank and driver side panel but the frame is very solid. Both front bumper and rear crossmember are in excellent condition which is very rare and hard to find. The tail panel has never been messed with and is in great shape. All gauges appear original. The jeep comes with a complete MB motor but it is not original to the car as the vin is very high. The data tags are long gone but the original frame tag is still on the frame. I do have two original front seats that will go with the jeep. Brass windshield clamps, filterette, front seat are all correct. I do have four early GPW’s on Willys frame that will be on ebay soon as well as two more slat grills. I will except offers through ebay for our mutual protection”

(08/10/2010) This isn’t running at the moment, but this looks in good shape.
“I have owned this jeep for about 12 years when i got it the motor was out and the jeep was taken apart i had the motor all redone and put it back it i put all new shocks on it and the body is in pretty good shape theres a little surface rust but know major rust. It has been sitting in the barn for about 5 years now its not running at this time but im sure it wouldnt take much to get it to run i just have to many projects and not enough time to mess with it thats why im only asking $2,200 o.b.o.”
This looks like a good project, but is priced high given it doesn’t have an engine.
