This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The May 1951 issue of Motor Trend captured the 3rd Annual DeAnza Trail Jeep Cavalcade. The author, Ernest Reshovsky, titled the article “Jeep Gymkhana”, possibly attempting to reference timed automobile or equestrian contents designed to test driving skill, though to my knowledge the Cavalcade was not a timed event.
This is a mix of parts, but looks in good shape.

Runs drives stops….but still a bit of a project. None of the gauges work. Needs front ubolts replaced….and some carb work… Maybe door hinges made?”

“Up for grabs is my 1956 Jeep Willy. This beast is powered by a Detroit 4-53T also known as a “Screaming Jimmy” it’s a turbo’d and supercharged inline 4 two stroke paired with a beefy 4 speed manual transmission. Perfect for towing around other hot rods or rat rods. Truck is on 37’ tires and sits on a reinforced C10 truck frame with absolutely zero rust. This is a rat truck, it has no AC, it’s loud and rolls coal in every gear. Truck is a manual and requires someone who knows how to drive, however the tranny is solid and clutch is really forgiving. This isn’t a rust bucket, it’s a tasteful rat truck that you can hop in and drive across country with zero doubts. Most reliable rat I’ve ever owned and it’s never left me stranded. Fires up first start and will tow on the hottest day of the year with zero problems. If you’ve read this fair go ahead and shoot me a message, I can talk about this thing all day. Open for trades (I like cool stuff) but cash is king.”

“Running and driving, Willy’s 1947 CJ 2A flat head 4cl T90 lots of new parts. New fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump with glass filter, exhaust (nice and quiet) new brake hard liens and flexible liens, New 12v high torque starter, all new wiring T90 transmission has been rebuilt with new clutch, good condition cooper MT tires on stock wheels 4×4 working as it should. Couple little issues as any 75 year old jeep would have Title in hand $6500obo”
