“I am selling my 1946 Willys cj2-a jeep due to health issues. This vehicle was converted to a 304 V-8 with 3 speed stick from a CJ-5 in the 70’s. it runs well but will need a new clutch installed. It has BRAND NEW Brakes, 5 brand new Tires/wheelsTires, new Electric Fuel pump, new 1/2 top and seats, Dash Guages, Waren 8K Wench, Front and Rear Bumpers. New Optima Battery, all new wiring. (08/23/2012) There are lots of parts, but unclear if there is a whole wagon here or not.
“I have 2 wagons. One is a 1950 and the other is a 1951. The 51 is complete with wverything there and not been touched. The 50 has been taken apart and sand blated and primed. The 50 was going to be put on a 4×4 frame before i bought it. It is a rolling original frame with extra parts as the other owner had 2 to make one. He kept the 4×4 Bronco frame. “This Jeep is good for parts or the beginnings of a new rebuilding project. There is a front grill and two fenders and a hood. This is a roller with no transmission or engine. This is a combination of military and civilian parts. The body is military.
“I am selling 1944 willys jeep in rough condition needs complete restoration jeep is on a trailer which will be sold with it but can be broken up if needed (not selling only trailer so dont ask pls) this is the millitary style and has all original indentification plates and has had current reg up to last year. Steve forwarded this photo of a Mighty Mite at the Chicago Auto Show yesterday.
Coincidently, yesterday Ann’s mother saved part of an episode of Pawn Stars for me to view (Episode called PONY UP from December 2011), which included a man trying to sell a Mighty Mite to the Pawn Stars guys for $22,000. They offered $13,000 (based on their expert’s opinion). Unfortunately, I can’t find a free way to view that episode.

“This extremely well preserved and rare military 4×4 that would be an excellent add to your military or rare vehicle collection. Only 1,045 M422 were produced and it is assumed that only 5% are still in existence. This is a 1960 restored American Motors Mighty Mite M422, serial number 547.
The truck has been 98% restored from the ground up and shows and runs wonderfully.
Vehicle Specific Features-

Painted “marine corps green”

Original rear folding Seats installed on rear fenders

As far as I know everything is complete and original.
The mighty mite was the first military jeep with posi traction front and rear and with its lightweight 1700 lb. aluminum body seems to go anywhere. Another advantage to the aluminum body is that there is no body rust at all. The frame and other steel components of this truck are all rust free and painted marine corps green. It has an M38 style windshield (as do most M422). This is very rare collector quality vehicle but yet capable as a daily driver or off road play toy. Car, Railway Maintenance, Mutigage , 8-Man, 60 HP Gasoline engine Willys Model MB Motor Car / Speedster
If this is not the most unusual and the most rare WWII vehicle I have had the opportunity to sell it is definitely in the top three. It was built for the U.S. Army Transportation Corp by the Kalamazoo Manufacturing Co. Kalamazoo Michigan. It is serial number 5913 USA number M1013 and was delivered January 1945. What makes it interesting to me is they used everything they could from the MB, purchased right from Willys. The engine complete with oil filter, air filter, regulator, battery, bell housing and T-84 transmission and all of the gauges are the same as the MB. They even used the MB fuel tank and radiator. It is 4 wheel drive and that is accomplished through chain drive and a forward-reverse lever which gave three gear speeds in each direction so the transfer case was not needed. When it was found and purchased 5 or 6 years ago, it was still in very good running condition and had never been allowed to set outside. Most of the vehicle is wood and due to inside storage for 60 years 95% of the original wood was saved in the total restoration. You can see in the as purchased photos (yellow trim) how good the wood was, only the side rail boards had to be replaced mainly from being kicked and broken. Before restoration it was used on several Sunday rail trips in the Jackson Ohio area. It will go much faster that you will want to drive it. As you can see from the photos it was professionally and totally disassembled rebuilt, researched for paint scheme and reassembled. With the wood being in such good condition it was easy to sand down to the original colors and markings. It was shown at the 2006 MVPA convention in Dayton Ohio.”
